  1. Yeah, it seems JB wanted to re- evaluate Green with a deeper roster; and perhaps, all the years of mediocrity has worn down (some of the) core players (?).
  2. Ultimately, my answer is Yes - just watch the commercials during game day cause that reflects what is currently socially important & acceptable in our city or province.
  3. Imo, Miller is just playing well enough to not get notice for the wrong reason; until (perhaps) a coaching change happens. He seems to be just waiting.
  4. Imo, Aquamans' decisions are affected by what is socially acceptable in Vancouver/BC; so I wouldn't assume that he is unwilling.
  5. I get it; and with context - outside of his drafting - he has made all/most of the mistakes a rookie GM will do: overpaying for the wrong players with either cost or term (as one obvious example). Like I said, what JB & Green will do to make this a playoff team - moving forward is what matters; and either way, it will be well earned.
  6. Yeah, that is the question in regards to JB - if he is willing to risk his tenureship with Green ? I do wonder, where Weisbrod fits ?
  7. THIS DECISION IS WHERE, JB WILL EARN HIS EXTENSION OR TERMINATION. Even a no decision, is still a decision.
  8. Canucks trying to be innovative, when choosing there coaches or cheap ?
  9. Yeah, the bullet of roster tweaking has been used and the more prudent/cheapest option, is a coaching change. Let's see how the roster will handle a coaching change ? Ofcourse, it will matter who; and this is where JB comes in.
  10. Imo, the relationship between the staff and players had gone stale after a few years of mediocrity under Greens' tutelage. Green didn't earn a contract extension but JB wanted to re evaluate him with a deeper roster (my theory) and so far, Green & friends are earning there walking papers....
  11. Imo, Green plays the role of a great coach and it seems ownership & JB (with Weisbrod) has bought into the hype that - he is an up & comer coach in this league; but his overall record, further confirms he is a mediocre coach . At this point, I am just watching the leadership group (ownership down to the staff): as to, what type of decision(s) they will be making. Green with that attitude is not surprising (imo), based on what we had seen these past few years. Personally, I've worked under a foreman that has very similar traits: favoritism & arrogance; and it just leads to a segregated crew - more work & opportunity for some and the opposite for others.
  12. A more recent ie: Calgary; and outside of Coleman, Gudbranson and Zadorov (both D sign to one year contracts), is pretty much fielding the same roster. The coaching change they did last year (after, there aggressive offseason) are paying dividends for them, right now. Imo, JB bought the local media hype: that Green is an demand coach; so he gave him a deeper roster to re evaluate him. So far, Green has only confirmed why he has an overall winning % below .500 and I believe JB or Aquaman has a number or date in mind. The last three/four home game, were entertaining & it seems the Canucks were dictating play - but those were against teams that plays a very similar type of hockey. Tonight, Colorado cameout with some urgency, a pressing style; and it caught, the Canucks flat footed. Imo, a well deserved loss for the whole team.
  13. Anybody, watched the post game presser - heard that he threw the players under the bus. No accountability at all; let see how they do in these next few games; and if an opponent comes out with a pressing strategy - good chance, the Canucks lose.
  14. Don't know the guy but he reminds of all the corporate rats or ass k$&$& that, I had seen working for a giant corporation - in the end there politics will only take them so high and they crash & burn at there own hands...
  15. Some/most, see it but there will always be the JB haters/the constant roster.tweaking folks and the groupies. Anyways; and right now, the ship seems to be sinking and there is no fluff from any shill that can spin this.
  16. Yeah, the Flames are a more recent example, of a team that hired a coach with an actual track record and the players bought in. The Canucks, could had done the same thing last year; but it seems, JB felt responsible for Greens atrocious record due to his mismanagements. The deeper roster and extension to Green, seems to JBs' way of admitting to his mistakes and givimg himself a better chance to re evaluate Green with a deeper roster. So far, Green should be making JBs' decision easier.
  17. Good point; hopefully, they hire a coach with a good winning percentage to create some much needed structure on & off the ice. Plus a new coach won't have the same favorites among the players so the current locker room politics will change, if the new staffs main goal is winning.
  18. Very different tone in the forum from the last three games. Canucks seems to struggle against teams that uses a pressing system.
  19. I will be surprised if he comes back, just read about what is being called long haul covid. Last year, might had been his last - hope Iam wrong
  20. Yeah, but atleast, it might give players some sense of urgency (?).
  21. Yeah, Green has gone stale with this group - I wonder if any adjustments will be made or more line blending to further errode any line chemistry among the players.
  22. Seems like a fair timeline for the (current) staff to hopefully turn it around
