Always, a high scoring agfair between these two teams and it seems both team match up well against each other.
This game will be a shoot out and fun to watch - GCG !
Hopefully, we get to see how this roster will do with a new staff before any roster tweaking.
I do agree, that the top teams that are well coached and plays with alot of urgency tends to give the Canucks issues. It will only get harder from here and I would like to see how this staff (if retained) or the new staff will coach this team to a playoff spot.
I would like to see Pearson with Dickenson as a shutdown fourth line - if Pearson is OK with the idea (might force Green to role four lines); and leave the third as: Gar & Podz centred by Motte or whomever will earn that role.
In the system: no one I can thing off and perhaps a third line of, Garland & Podz centered by Motte (more finished than Dickenson), might be worth a try (?).
Also, how about a shutdown 4th line, that is consisted of Pearson, Dickenson ?
No one is getting dealt; and if we have cap problems (at the time), there is a good chance any FA to be on the team will walk - just like JM & CT.
Rather, it would be futures, that are going to be used to facilitate any trade.
In a Banana Republic (were rules/mandates are only for the common people), game fixing through officiating are well known or just part of doing business; and the bigger the game the more involved BIG money tends to be. I ve traveled and lived in another country before and watching, pro sports in NA, one thing I've realized is that: a game with simple & fewer rules can be officiated properly - depending on the Zebra - but today's pro sports, has alot of rules that are gray or rules that are left to the interpretation of the officials; and it is these particular rules that makes the game very manageable - thanks Bettman !
Depending on the team they are facing the third pairing, can be interchanged for match up or injury purposes. At the moment, Burroughs has earned a spot. Despite, his solid play, he needs to develope a shot.
These past few games, we seem to had played as few teams (Predators & Ducks) that we matched up well against. As for Green, let's see how he coaches the Canucks into a playoff spot..
I get it; and as the season moves along the games will only get tougher and the Zebras will be calling games very differently. I also, am not confident that this is the right staff to take this roster to the next level. Right now, given all the context, with the overall record as a true indicator of the teams' current state, I am just more interested how the team (more so the coaches) will play themselves into a playoff spot.
