  1. Those are good points and with (probably an important) context: Poile is a GM in Nashville. In the Nashville market, it was perhaps easier for Poole to sell a Weber for Subban trade; imagine, trying to sell a similar trade in this market. Perhaps, if it was Quinn doing the trade then it would be better accepted than a rookie GM My point: Poile has been a reapected GM in the league for a long time (Wsh 15 yrs & Nsh since 98) and he is a GM of a team that is considered a non traditional hockey market. Right now, Nashville seems to be in a (very similar) situation - doing a quick retool, imo and I am interested how he will be doing it ?
  2. Not a Myers hater (not sure why you went there); anyways, if you have been paying attention - especially - in the PK, when he has a chance to clear the zone, it is fifty-fifty with him. I have seen enough times over his tenure with the Canucks were he had a chance to clear it and he fails; which ends up extending the PP for the other team. Next before labeling someone, watch him on the PK and watch how he handles the puck and see if he clears or not.
  3. On the PK - since Hamonic is back, it would be a good idea to get (brain fart) Myers off the PK
  4. Meh, in 5v5 the effort and chances has certainly gotten better but still sloppy & lots of individual plays that leads to nothing. The on ice product, still suffers from very familiar issues: stale & predictable. Outside of Demko, this ship would had already been at the bottom of the ocean. At this point Greens overall record speaks for itself and it will cement his legacy as the teams worst head coach. Imo, he had the whole offseason & pre season to prepare the club but he got stuck at personnel rather than creating a system that will work this deeper roster or mitigate any roster issues.
  5. Lots of blame to go around and Imo, it is coaching. Anyways, let's see if the staff can coach the team out of this black hole (?).
  6. He looked slow and ineffective from my POV. To each his own - GCG !
  7. Yeah, the ChaseOn experiment will only end when he makes Green look bad. He looks bad on the ice.
  8. Montreal is tanking, whereas, the Canucks are just sucking.
  9. ChaseOn, is Greens' pet project and only a really bad screw up - that makes Green look bad will make Green realized that this experiment was a bad idea from the start.
  10. Hakstall understands the strength of that team and has them playing a very structured system
  11. Outside of Aquamans' tweet after an uninspiring loss - it has been very quiet from the top of the ivory tower. The coaching staff will not change there ways and the overall record the will accomplish under there tutelage will be well earned.
  12. Outside of Shaw & Clarke - the staff is pretty much Green & friends
  13. How about a PP that has allows for an effective cross ice strategy.
  14. The time out was a great call and it was noticeable, how the players were interacting (or not) with King during that whole timeout; and after all that - they easily lost possession. Anyways, can they not at atleast, work on getting better at faceoffs. Also, Podzs' deployment has got to get better and these past two games he has earned more opportunities - time for ChaseOn to sit permanently.
  15. Ditto: I am sure they watch & discuss game day films and perhaps Bo can share some knowledge when it comes to face offs. Anyways, like I stated in one of my post, I am just going to watch how the staff will coach the team out of this situation.
  16. Good point ! You have been to games and I am just wondering, how the atmosphere is like in the arena cause I am planning on going this Sunday, if my schedule allows it.
  17. I like your positive take; and personally, I've decided to just watch cause at this point, I find it more interesting to see: if the staff will be able to coach the team out of this black hole. That will be quite a feat but not an impossible one - just read how the Washington Nationals turned there season around after a VERY slow start to win the World Series. I will always be a fan; and outside of Aquamans disappointed tweet, it has been very quiet from the top. My guess: they have a date in mind, of when to pull the trigger, if nothing changes ? Although, every loss - is just making the hole deeper and with it the teams playoff chance.
  18. I theorize: JB wanted to re evaluate Green with a deeper roster and Green is proving that his overall record is well earned or no fluke. Personally, I am at the point that I hope Green & friends will just refuse to change and let them dig a bigger hole. Why stop someone from hurting themselves.
  19. Almost, there ! The only difference (imo), those teams below the Canucks are all fighting for the lottery cup, whereas, the Canucks spent to be a contender - smh. Basically, those teams below the Canucks are tanking and the Canucks are just SUCKING.
  20. Very typical - Green blaming it on personnel again. How about insist that those four centerman practice faceoffs
  21. To the fans that had gone to a game, I only have one question: I was going to go today but glad I decided to spend it on food.
  22. Yikes, but with Green & friends these numbers are starting to look normal.
