I get it but there is perhaps an untap genius that just needs the right opportunity (?). Overall, I don't mind his commentary and I would had preferred it over Cheech at last night's snore fest
I'd put Corey Hirschs' name as a possible replacemebt cause listening to him doing a version of coaching from the coach - he seems to quickly identify the flaw(s) in the systems being on played the ice...
I was being sarcastic; and good question - good chance, Mcd & his linemates will be having a good skate while they are padding there stats and I gotta give Tippet some credit for the way they are playing; but THEY ARE STILL A MIKE SMITH INJURY AWAY FROM MISSING THE PLAYOFFS.
Looked plan but from my POV and I agree, the on ice product for a roster with this much depth is hard to watch.
Last night: too much individual plays and the pump & dump has to go.
Cutting edge coaching that we are soooo used to. As a treat, I would sometimes watch a TB or Vegas game just to see how a well coached team looks like; and then reality hits on game day.
The on ice product is stale and boring.
Relax - it still early and it can only get worse of better from here. Personally, I will save my eyes next game and give Hirsch a try at SN650. Enjoyed, Hirschs' analyst, opposed to Cheechs' commentary.
Perhaps he caught both players giving him the stink eye and the benching is a reminder to them - who the boss is.
Albeit, the boss of a sinking ship but still the boss for now.
He just needs to work with (AHL HOF) Baumer to get him up to speed with the rest of the team. With all the struggle, the floor he needs to hit seems pretty low.
Yeah Gallant was my choice too; and the Rangers are not doing too bad under his tutelage. Ofcourse, (right now) Jersey at the bottom of the division is in a very familiar spot - got addicted to picking in the top 3 or a draft lottery addict.
Brind"amour ain't doing to bad either - another BC product that wants nothing to do with BC. He seems to know the roster well and has built a system that has them playing as a team.
