  1. Seattle adjusted and is playing a tighter defensive game with the goaltending of Grubauer
  2. Let's see what adjustment the team makes for the next two periods. Good chance, Seattle makes this a boring affair to get the win
  3. Yeah, very different from Seattle's pk box - alot more aggressive and discipline
  4. 3-1 Nuck Boeser with GWG Hogs with 1st goal against Sea
  5. Ok. Anyways, JB & Aquaman are OK with Green being the headcoach.
  6. Just wondering how to confirm your statement that - ALL players spoke up wanting Green back.
  7. Yeah; despite all the fluff/spin the on ice product doesn't lie and it reflects in the dou's overall. I am hopeful like you that they can be like Poile & Trotz but looking at Trotz Record yearly record - by the sixth year Trotz has been above 500. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=45881
  8. Yeah, especially with a lead going into the third - PK for most of the third and the opposing coaches seems to realize this trend with the Canucks: will amp up the pressure and hopefully the goalie will pull out a win.
  9. Good idea, after all these years of the same on ice product despite the roster - I am not sure if the staff are capable of understanding the strategies being deployed against them during games. Given the failure to learn from past mistakes, your idea sounds great but I am not sure if this staff will be able to get the players to implement such a system or any structure on a consistent basis.
  10. Coaches can't make game by game adjustments or more line juggling is enough ?
  11. Yeah, JB seems to had attached his Canuck legacy to Green: by signing him to an extension & giving him a new roster but the on ice product still remains the same. Perhaps this is one mistake JB is not willing to admit to - YET ? It would be nice to see this roster under a different staff before another 'aggressive offseason'
  12. Might be on the something cause at this point, it seems JB has chosen to attach his legacy with Green - this offseason he doubled down by signing him to an extension & gave him a different roster (at a high cost in futures & cap); and still the on ice product looks the same as in previous years.
  13. Yeah, despite what is being said off ice or on camera, the on ice product seems disorganized and it is on the staff.
  14. Ditto: based on the on ice product, coaching seems to be the issue or players are not buying in - I would put my bet on the former.
  15. Yeah, the staff has a soft spot for the waiver wire vets over the unkown lottery tickets that we call prospects. I wonder why Schmidt left after one season: was the Green/staff resigning the main reason ?
  16. Relax - it is still early, the players are still getting used to each other and the coaches are still getting to know the roster..... You must not be a real fan
  17. You can have the chess pieces but if the chess player has no idea or has no creativity on how to use the pieces then you just have a bunch of expensive chess pieces on the board aimlessly having no real purpose. Not sure: if the bridge deal for EP was JB or is it EP ?
  18. Lighten up folks it is still early as some/most true Canucks fan would say. Imo, the roster can be competitive but Iam skeptical if the staff will know how to use this roster to its full potential
