  1. Those clips looks like they were from the 80's . Anyways, hope he makes a significant contribution to the main club and all the best to OJ.
  2. Shaw is the hedge when the team gets of to a bad start; and will Shaw be allowed to have his own assistants ?
  3. IMO, Green is the coach who is book smart & plays the part of a head coach well on Camera cause the product on the ice cannot be sugar coated. Also, his tendency to have favorites, is not a good way of managing a locker room full of millionaires. P4eferably, someone who doesn't coach scared manner; and someone who will emphasize rolling four lines cause JB (on paper) has put together a team that has enough depth to roll four lines; but it takes a creative staff to make it work and the decisiveness to know when to deploy the right match up. His indecision or predictably (ie: shortening the bench) in crucial times of game has cost the team & himself wins - good chance the opposing coaches have a book on each other.
  4. Green seems to be building a dynasty team in the Playstation by focusing in on Personnel rather than focusing in on a system that will maximize each players talent - so players will be more inclined to buy in rather than being miscasted and destroying the players moral & trade value. I agree the re vamp roster can compete but can the coaches put it all together ?
  5. Well said, the on ice product is a true reflection of Green & the rest of the staff. Imo, there indecision and predictability has been exploited by other coaching staffs at crucial times of games but it is only the STELLAR GOALTENDING from JM & (hopefully) Demko (moving forward) that has gotten them wins for the most part; and good chance moving forward, Demko will be heavily leaned on under Greens system. Imo,, what Gallant left is a system were the team emphasize rolling four lines. Rolling four lines leads to a more engaged game day roster and avoids the mistakes an overplayed players might make.
  6. Yeah, at this point they seemed to not even be ready for the pre season.
  7. Like I stated, OJ has probably seen from last year that he will be seeing the bench alot more than the ice - so he SEEMS to be playing his way out of Vancouver while he is still young with a draft pedigree (imo). Schenn & Hunt will get more opportunities and good chance both will clear waivers.
  8. Podz meets the criteria - 1st round pick and he didn't solidify a spot like Rathbone. Rathbone has earned his spot in Greens good side. Hope Iam wrong but this staff has tendency to have two categories of players: players with alot of leash and players with barely any - imo.
  9. Yup, JB chose to extend the same staff and kept it mostly intact. Instead of addressing the coaching staff midway through last season; he doubled down this past off season with a major roster tweaking; and the Staff has repaid his loyalty with a less than impressive pre season.
  10. Green has his preference and he is sticking to it. It seems OJ has probably seen that he can do nothing right, so he is playing himself out of Vancouver while his draft pedigree still has some value.
  11. Imo, Podz is the next first rounder to be mind f#*#*) by the Green monster.
  12. Some rookies get alot of leash and others very little. Too bad, if you are a rookie in the latter category cause it will be an uphill battle and every mistakes just makes the hole deeper. A rookie in this situation is perhaps ready to move on as well; unless, JB intervenes.
  13. JB seems to be tired of the scrutiny & criticism that comes with players drafted in the earlier rounds; and this is probably why, he is preferring to draft players in the later rounds were - if they bust out then no big deal and IF the player out performs' his draft pedigree then it makes them look like geniuses.
  14. Based on CA - OJ is being shopped with the intention of putting him on waivers tomorrow. So I guess, Green will have to find a new one - Podz ?

  16. Ditto, the on ice product has been very sloppy after a busy offseason.
  17. I like your optimism and I hope you are right. His last two pre season games does not convey too much confident.
  18. Under Green & friends system OEL will wish he is still with the Yotes. The Yotes have embraced a short rebuild and they are loaded with high picks & cap space in the very immediate future.
  19. Based on this pre season, Demko better be ready to play from game 1 cause the rest of the team is still trying to put it together.
