How about Graves and Cernak both were nobodies with there originally team until they got to there new teams; or Schmidt in Vegas vs Vancouver.
My point: we are only speculating based on the past and if he clicks with the staff - then he might be a solid add; time will tell. Secondly, coaching is the other side of the equation when trying build a roster - I am more critical of the staff and there ability to put it altogether but Shaws’ addition has me hopeful (based on his reputation as a defensive coach & developing defencemen)
I get it and give it a season but it seems like you had made up your mind in regards to JB long before today.
Let see this d core a season with Shaw and if Baumer was still the d coach - I would agree. Coaching is the other part of the equation in creating a successful team
Was he regularly paired with Frobert or as the forum calls him Fartboy; so no more turd pairing for the Jets ?
Good value and cap for a player at his stage of the career & age.
JB 2.0
All the mistakes and everything that comes with it - is perhaps having the positive effect on JBs’ development as a GM.
Good value and term for a 30+ year old player that has bought, what JB is doing.
Yeah, I did notice the extra effort he was putting on every shift; and I surmise, that he was playing for a contract. Moving forward, JB should stick to signing him to 1 yr deals, given his past history (imo).
During his six years with the Nucks he has missed a good percentage of games due to injury (somewhat skeptical about his off ice training & prep); and I liked him prior to the deal and during the deal (from my POV), he was coasting on & off the ice (as indicated by the gaffes he wasn’t suppose to be making on the ice given his reputation as a defensive minded forward). This one year deal is his true value and the contract he deserves after six years of .... - well earned !
At the cost, it is a good signing for a known commodity. JB is on a roll - can Green deliver ?
After SIX years of foundational performance OFF THE ICE - this contract is well earned & deserved.
With the re vamp roster and Shaw’s addition - I wonder if McD & Draist will still be padding there stats when they play against the Canucks.
Perhaps this time it will the Canucks padding there stats against them ?
I am very much the same and I only tuned in during the important dates or when something happens ; otherwise, I would rather get my news through the internet and go on various blogs to engage my fellow fans.
Sometimes some of the pundits come across in a very lecturing manner and it is unbearable.
Sutter in Abby to start his coaching journey by mentoring the youths.
He doesn’t fit in this roster anymore plus in six years he was pretty much non existent on the ice due to his injuries.
