  1. Ditto - trading an unknown for a known commodity; hopefully, they give OJ a legit chance this year before trading him.
  2. Yeah, last off season was a downer cause the TT lost stings - atleast, the Holtby deal was only two years worth of overpayment (still a year too long - imo - and hopefully Seattle picks him up). Incompetent is Buffalo - they seem to be headed for another rebuild if the rumour are true about some of there young stars. Perhaps a more fitting word: ambivalence ?
  3. It will be a tough road to get past the Knights/Avs but not impossible; hopefully the time off will not affect Prices' performance moving forward.
  4. Just mainly commenting on this year. Although, both seems to like the gelled slick back look.
  5. Somewhat I agree; and I would like to see how Schmidt will do with a different staff (if the rumours of a more veteran assistants are being looked into).
  6. Yeah, he currently seems to have the Midas touch - right now; let's see how they do in the next series.
  7. Good foundation - seems they had studied and learned from other teams.
  8. It seems every moves that Bergevin did in the offseason paid off and JBs' additions had all struggled.
  9. That Vegas/Colorado series is a fun one to watch - two teams built by two shrewd GM's
  10. Yeah, also the time off will probably allow them to quarantine as they head south.
  11. You sure cause based on my Google search it indicates the winner of the Isles & Bruins series; either way, it will be a tough go with any of those teams and Price will have to keep playing the way he is, for them to have a chance.
  12. Price finally shows up and let's see how they will do against the Isles/Bruins. Imo, they are just a pretender in these playoffs but who knows ?
  13. You missed my point cause it seems you never saw LeClaire play.. Plus look at his production with Montreal and compare it to JV; also it seems Montreal sold low on him. Good chance, it will be crickets after some facts; must be a member of the 'True Fans' fan club.
  14. NOW YOU ARE RE WRITING HISTORY - Lindros is in the HOF and LeClaire is not; you PROBABLY didn't see them play with Renberg (The Legion of Doom). Plus, look at LeClaires stat when he got to the Flyers and when Lindros started missing games. Not surprising given your over reaction and you completely missed my point.
  15. Ok Mr Hockey and nice choice in words - says alot. Whats wrong with just disagreeing without the condensednding tone/words.
  16. I am not - he was elite with Lindros & Renberg and decent without them - probably just looking at stat; I saw them play & dominate until the Stevens hit on Lindros.
  17. If you read my post I indicated Lindros as someone who drove the play and it seems you missed my point that IMO JV will PROBABLY THRIVED if paired with someone who can drive the play - your tone is so condensing it so no surprise you missed my point. I am not really comparing the players as much as the situation might be the same.
  18. Glad it made you laugh, just speculating (ofcoure) cause JV just reminds me of LeClair while he was with Montreal and when paired with Lindros or someone who can drive the play he didn't do too bad. Just an opinion and a one for one might be palatable since JV is good as gone.
  19. This might be more palatable - one for one. JV might become the next LeClair for the flyers (but LeClair had Lindros & Renberg). If there able to line him up with someone who drives the play then it might be a good fit for them and we get an often injured 3C ?
  20. If you mean how JV has developed under Green then perhaps the same (?); not sure about your Toffoli reference.
  21. Pass; would rather see the Canucks give OJ a legit chance before trading a still unknown player.
  22. Demko showed he was ready in those four games cause (imo) once he knows he is #1, he can focus on just playing and based on his amateur history he can do the job. With hindsight, a cheaper backed up should had been signed (instead) cause Holtby has been regressing during his last years in Washington & JB overpayed for the intangibles again; I hope he gets pick in the ED.
