  1. Is he struggling cause he is new to the system or is it the system that is making him (and Schmidt) look bad ? Or Both ?
  2. Would not trade Podz and Gaudette for both of those players cause a team has to have some depth and it would take a ton of cap space to keep both..
  3. Good points - some of the positions seems to be sorting itself out and the way the team is losing should be a concern for management...
  4. That would indicate the team is using this shorten season to regroup for next when some of the anchor contracts are gone. Kent Johnson would be a nice add - hoping to finally get our first ever 1st OA pick or trade it for assets. Imo, one of the best way to run a team to ground would be to hire a coach that is not ready or have no business being in that position.
  5. Good point, that is why I said PERHAPS (just brainstorming) and I dont see JB doing something like this anyways. Regardless, the team is playing sloppy with 10% of the season done. I hope to see the rookies play more since this (shorten) season is looking like a regression but who really knows cause they are just a winning streak away from salvaging this season...
  6. Good points - JB has never chosen higher than fifth despite the standings and in a cap world you cant keep/pay everyone. The team is playing sloppy, perhaps we lost too much of our glue guys in the locker room with Tanev and JM but at those contracts it was the right move to let them walk. Imo, it is on the coaches to prep the team to battle since the nature of pro sports is very structured and it is about strategy and adjusments. Bright side: this is probably the best season to regress since it is only 50+ games of misery rather than 82..
  7. Perhaps hire the 'Potential' replacement as a an assistant to really stir the pot; at this point, the team needs a jolt of energy/new voice in the locker room.
  8. Green and his staff will dig there own grave - PERHAPS it is just a matter of time unless the team turns this around in the next few games. Good point though, that it is probably early still in this shorten season to be over reacting (?).
  9. Will still depend on the staff how much opportunities he gets.
  10. TT must be exploiting something in Greens' or Baumers' defensive system - insider knowledge....
  11. Hopefully, Baumer and Green gives these rookies a real shot, instead of overplaying certain players...
  12. Ditto, only way to hedge your bet against injuries is to play the rookies, especially, in a shorten season. Hope atleast one of these rookies makes some of the vets in the D core tradeable; Chatfield played well enough last night to hopefully get another chance tonight..
  13. So far, the D core has been struggling (perhaps due to the new pieces ?), probably best to rest: Edler & Hamonic to heal and give some experience(s) to our rookies.
  14. I know it early and despite the early season struggle, it is still a close race in the division
