Probably too much freedom of speech here. No longer politically correct or acceptable. People’s voices are being stifled everywhere you turn. Someone’s afraid to be associated with such open discussions and commentary.

This is cdc and apparently protected under the charter of rights.

"Under section 2of the Charter, Canadians are free to follow the religion of their choice. In addition, they are guaranteed freedom of thought, belief and expression. Since the media are an important means for communicating thoughts and ideas, the Charter protects the right of the press and other media to speak out."

Canadians don't have free speech, that's the American constitution.

Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction.

You really think you could express your own thoughts and ideas (not violating anyones rights) on cdc without fear of reprisals?

SN at the new one, expect the same results.

    Horvats last 4 seasons,  215pts in 274gp

    Barzal last 4 seasons, 215pts in 254gp

Somethings aren't as good as others and seem to be over paid while also trending in the wrong direction points wise.

I'll tell you that for free

Horvats so good, he will score 84pts over 9 games next year to embarass the canucks for trading him and to prove hes better then Miller, right?

"I just want the best chance to get to the best team."

Maybe it's a translation issue, but I'm not sure I've ever heard a player say something like this while still under contract (for 4 more years, no less) with a team. Would make for a fairly awkward situation if he returned to SJ having not been traded this offseason, even though they are rebuilding

Off the top of my head, I guess Luongo's "my contract sucks" is kind of the only one that comes close. Again, maybe it just comes across like that because of the translation.

Kesler wanted "a chance to win the cup" iirc and that wasn't with Vancouver and then proceeded to only accept a trade to Anaheim or Chicago.

    Anaheim could do it...

    To Anaheim:

    William Nylander

    Matt Murray

    To Toronto:

    John Gibson

    Troy Terry

Nylander has a NTC, 10 team list.  I am sure Winnipeg is on that list...

Do you seriously think Anaheim is a location Nylander would waive for?

    back to wee willie

He scored 40, once is not a ppg player over his career, a winger.

I'd suggest his aav somewhere around PLD & Horvat though they are Centers(more valuable) also nylander puts up more points.

Buyout window has past my guy.

someone pointed out earlier in this thread that, if Toronto takes samsonov to arbitration somehow a buyout window opens for them. (murray buy out?) then re-sign Samsonov with the salary they just freed up.

edit * my mistake, I believe its in the Domi signing thread

  6. back to Domi signing

I like Domi as a player, seems like a decent human in any interviews. Personally dont like his psychotic attacks on unsuspecting players though.

Personally, I'd take Domi & Bertuzzi over what Bunting ()and ROR signed for, definitely going to give dmen and goalies fits.

I'm also quite surprised Bunting signed with Florida for as long as he did, did he forget Cernak plays for the lightning and is also signed long term? yikes.

It's funny, I know Nylander has the smallest cap it. He's also a bit of a flake, and a bit of a floater. But ironically he's one of the few of the big 4 that actually shows up in the Playoffs.

    Sorta...

Toronto big 4 produced better then I assumed and if you look at it just as basic stats comparison,

    Marner 11gp 3g 11a for 14pts and +7

    Matthews 11gp 5g 6a for 11pts and +2

    Tavares 11gp 4g 4a for 8pts and -1

    Nylander 11gp 4g 6a for 10pts and -4
