Mafia: Super Duper Vanilla Game (Game Over: Mafia Wins!)

Really? Yeah, that's why discussing GKs is or should be against the rules in my mind. -

That is harsh. I think we need to change our general approach to handling inactive players because Godkills should be used as an extreme measure. First off all, I don't think activity requirements should be purely based on how often someone is voting, whether it be once every round or once every two rounds. Imo it should be based on how much they are posting and contributing. A player voting every round while posting nothing else shouldn't be meeting any requirements. Conversely, a player contributing each round that happens to forget to vote once or twice should never be GKd or removed; players don't have to vote to be doing work. Second, trying to avoid the GKs all together is probably ideal as they are very unhealthy for the game. By this I mean being careful about letting in players that probably are not going to meet your requirements. And also potentially trying to find a sub if a player is inactive and needs replacement in the early game. The same standard should be used universally however. So if you would try to sub out a player with a power-role instead of GKing them, then the same should be done with VTs. And if you GK a VT for not meeting requirements then you have to be prepared to do the same to mafia or power roles as well. -

DM, why do you continue a charade of trolling and antagonizing most of the players here? What is your objective? Actually don't answer that. I already know why. -

Or... You could just not comment on what MR is saying... No need for an announcement of your inanity... But you're welcome. -

Sorry, I'll be birdwatching this game. -
I made some changes to the rules that I thought were needed. Let me know if you have any critiques or suggested adjustments. 3) I've changed the ruling that players must vote every two rounds to avoid GK. That was arbitrary and that ruling should be left up to the host of each game. Imo, GKs should not be handed out lightly, as they are basically a last resort to deal with a player that isn't playing. We should do a better job establishing what type of activity is required and how quickly phase lengths will be. Furthermore, substitutions in the early-game should also be considered. 5) Last words should also be up to the host and not a universal. I personally don't think this should be allowed with the way we play. Consider the fact that the flushed player will be giving last words after the night-actions occur, and thus will be speaking with more information than the time they were alive. 7) Added a bit to this. Out of game influence or external factors can cover a lot of ground, but essentially nothing outside of the game itself should be brought into the game. 9) This is slightly redundant as it covers the previous two points, but I still feel it's necessary to explain why certain instances are bad for game integrity.

Final rant: I also think it's kinda disrespectful to your potential teammate to just flush them before they even get to present a case. -

Two week phases sounds awful. I don't mean that you necessarily have to use the maximum time in the phase. I just think it's worth it to play at least some of the phase to see if you can gain insight into how players react in that circumstance. Trust me, I know how tempting it is to just vote with your initial read, but I think there's a lot of info available purely based on how the other players approach the F3/4. Of course, I speak as someone who has botched more than their fair share of endgames. -

It's not really about this game specifically. As I continue to say, it is bad on principle to quick-hammer players in the late game when you could instead use that time to converse and re-evaluate. Unless you have piles of evidence for one player being a wolf you should use the time you're given. Also, there's always a good chance you were brought to LYLO either because you're the mislynch target or because the wolf expects you to vote wrong (not saying that's what happened here, but something to consider). -

Why would you insta vote in these final rounds? Have some discipline and do your due diligence. -
