  1. Can't spell bong without BO Also, this should be Jake's goal song this year Shotgun
  2. All I know is that if he goes there will be trouble, but if he stays there will be double
  3. The opposite of soft is hard, and the opposite of slow is fast. So you're saying now the team is hard and fast? Yes well, as a Canucks fan, I'm used to it. I've developed adequate coping mechanisms to deal with the massive weight of life on my shoulders though, so no need to worry, I'll be just fine :D
  4. They also didn't get benched in the outdoor game by a coach with rage issues lol
  5. And they don't retire the mighty Olli Jokinen's number? Not to mention Bure and Jagr.. ;)
  6. Okay, so a majority of fans are seemingly all aboard the hype train this season with our new roster in place, and I am happy to say that I'm one of them. After so long since the last time we've been able to celebrate a playoff win (or even made an appearance whatsoever), it's hard not to be excited with the very real possibility that we may be back in the post-season this year. Is there a possibility that we are a little TOO excited though, and that we could be setting ourselves up for a massive letdown? Of course there are not many that are saying we are a LOCK for the playoffs, but as I mentioned, the hype train is going full steam and many of us are envisioning our 50th season being a very special one. However, if the Canucks DO fall short and don't manage to make it into the playoffs this year, how disappointed would everyone be? Is the season considered a failure? Do we consider making more big moves next offseason? Is it truly playoffs or bust? Especially for Coach Green and Mr. Benning? Or do you maybe give them two years from today before their fates with the organization are decided?
  7. Wouldn't he be giving the gift of the 25 goals to us, the fans? XD
  8. As long as they throw in a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. You don't trade away 6 million dollar snipers for nothing
  9. I voted to apologize to TG because he probably hurt his feelings, but if Loui makes the team I expect nothing less than 35g 25a this year. He needs to earn that 6 million
  10. Also, Virt: 19 Sven: 20 Miller: 25 Ferland: 11 (and top 3 PIM in league) Pearson: 15 Bo: 29 Petey: 38 Brock: 34 Eriksson: 48 Tryamkin: 25 (in 11 games)
  11. He told Eriksson he's going to have to earn his spot on the roster. And whatever he's doing seems to be working for the young guns. So far coach Mr. Green gets a 7.5/10 from me
  12. I'm proud that we've had such greats like Mark Messier, Mats Sundin, Loui Eriksson and even Cam Neely, and I'm also proud that despite losing our first three cup finals we will win our next one.
  13. I'm aware that many people are going to scorch me for this, but I fail to see why nobody questions his ability to play in the NHL. All of the games I watch with him in the lineup, I find myself screaming at my television because of the unintelligent things the gentleman does. Personally, I'd rather have any of the guys that are fighting for a spot on the team rather than Pettersson. Everyone's #1 reason that they enjoy this player, from what I've surmised based on reading this forum, is that "He's great on the PP." Who cares? Anyone can do this that's fighting for a spot. He can't score and I'm tired of Boeser carrying this guy on his back, night after night, I'm tired of him losing the puck, falling down everywhere. Seriously, this guy falls down a hundred times a night, does he not possess the ability to skate, it's ridiculous, stupid penalties it's endless. "He is going to be one of the top forwards in the league this year" is another common description that is proposed when his name comes up. That is okay, sure he scores insane goals and has even sicker set-ups, and sneaks past defenseman making them look foolish, and was the rookie of the year, but he fails to really be able to finish that job off by being able to fight because he can't. IMHO he's an embarrassment to the team. Please Benning, let this guy go, keep Hutton or Eriksson or Goldobin whoever. You may commence with the letting er rip.
  14. Benning better sign this young stud D man before he gets out GM'd again! And if anyone else signs him first we should trade a conditional 1st for him
  15. Well we'd be in the draft lottery with some SWEET 1st round picks and I hear that's the new Stanley Cup for Canadian teams
