  1. There are only two NHL players with 60+ points & 100+ hits this season (take a guess, it’s incredible):

    1- J.T. Miller - 63 pts, 105 hits
    2 - Alexander Ovechkin - 60 pts, 167 hits

Not sure how I could possibly confuse people with what I said. And @theo5789 , not sure who was saying Miller was a bottom-6 player, I think you made that up to sound right, or are quoting one single person's incorrect opinion. Also noting Miller as a center is incorrect as for the majority of the last few years he played wing. And you topped off your statement by agreeing with me that Miller surpassed all expectations. The people who supported the trade in the first place are simply lucky to be right. There was no reason to believe he would immediately have the best season of his career BY FAR.

I love Miller but let's be real here.

P.S. He wasn't "used horribly" in Tampa he had top-6 minutes and played on the PP.

Tbh I thought when we traded for Miller , he was going to be a mid level 2nd line player that we needed and I thought that was worth the 1st then (I was excited). What JT has done has exceeded everyone’s expectations(anyone that says they knew he would preform like this is full off bull poop), including my own.

@Baer. Just go back to the original trade thread to see what I'm talking about. It was certainly more than one person. I said many had suggested he could be an insurance 3rd line center, but many of us knew he was solid on faceoffs and had taken his fair share. He was listed to be able to play all forward positions which was another positive at the time of the deal.

Many of us supported the trade from the start and knew what player we would get. His point totals has surpassed all of our expectations, but the rest of his game was expected. The people that didn't support the trade had no clue who JT Miller was. We didn't have to be lucky to know we were getting a good player. We are simply lucky to get a great player.

He wasn't getting top 6 minutes in his final year in Tampa, which is what led to the notion that he was some declining bottom 6 cap dump. If you don't believe me, then like I said go look at the original trade thread.
