  1. Would you change how you feel about a Canucks player knowing that they support Trump?

I believe if you are voting and supporting politicians with beliefs that are as repugnant as Trump, you are part of the problem and deserve to be called out.

I think a fair amount of people voted for Trump to protect their lively hood (blue collared workers), and not because they're all neo-nazi assholes who want to see the world burn.

If we go back in the thread it's obviously not a one sided deal (negative stereotypes):

No it does not. I have friends and family who support Biden. It seems like people who support Trump are willing to be civil but Biden supporters tend to cut people off in their lives.

Tensions are high in the US/world....not just because of an election, but there's a pandemic that's exploding and when leaders should be leading the way, some are drowning in tweets of a self serving nature that ignore the current state of affairs.  And followers of that enable it.  It's not about Trump...it's about a country and it's currently needing attention that he and his followers divert toward...him/them.  It's not just win at all costs here, especially if lives hang in the balance.

If people are lashing out it's not without good reason or based on "hatred".  "Hatred of what's happening".  Hatred of losing family members to a guy who checks your ballot before he cares or not.
