      I agree that Trump really missed the boat on making COVID urgent from the get go.  He should've pushed mask wearing and social distancing from the get go.  Trump really fumbled the ball there.

       

      Back to what I said about Ontario though.  Ford was relatively strict with us from the get go, and over a month ago he put in the $10k fine for private events with 10+ people.  Cases are still sky-rocketing and house parties are still happening.

       

      At the end of the day some the responsibility/burden should be placed on the masses.  We are the ones choosing whether or not to wear or not wear a mask, etc.  Where I live it's mandatory to wear a mask in public but still a lot of people don't.  You can't blame that on the government.

      Governments makes the laws.

      Government is in charge of enforcement.

       

      So yes absolutely the government is partially responsible.   If laws are not adequately enforced...people don't take them seriously.
