      Never been to Chicago and don’t hate it. I just deeply despise the Chicago Blackhawks because of what happened to Kyle Beach. I never liked them to begin with, but that situation really pissed me off. I actually used to feel sorry for the fans when Bill Wirtz owned the team and was happy for them when Rocky took over and made all those changes. Then that scandal came out and undid all the good he did.

      @Citizen Erased Yeah, before the scandal I didn't like them, but I at least had respect for them. That's gone now. Their little dynasty has been tainted forever.

    Unpopular opinion: Steroids should be legal for all sports. If it’s legal for everyone it’s a level playing field. This would take sports to a whole new level!!

    I’d rather keep Boeser, get a good seaso a Dun trade for draft picks maybe 2 1st rounders. Rather get Kuz cheaper & he is in the tail end of his career.

      1967 is already down as the year of expansion teams. The league went from 6 teams to 12.   St. Louis made it the SCF for the next 3 years. The Canucks have been in the league now for 53 years ironically St. Louis won its first cup in their 53 season.

      Makes it easy when all the teams in the West are expansion teams in 1967. You were guaranteed an expansion team in the Stanley Cup Finals until they did a rejig of the divisions.

      There was only 2 teams LA and Oakland in the west     St. Louis  Minnesota Pittsburg and philidaphia were the other additions. Vancouver was considered but Montreal and Toronto balked at sharing CBC tv revenue. Also the wirtz family pushed for St. Louis for reasons?  They also owned the Buffalo rink and associated team which almost beat out the Pittsburg bid. Lester b person was livid at the lack of Canadian teams being allowed entry in 67.

    People thought I was crazy 2 years ago when I said trade Mcdavid for Vasilevskiy. Now I am saying trade for the best goalie in the league. Edmonton will have multiple cups.

      I would say Leon but I think he is the piece you need in the Playoffs. He steps up when Connor is out. Wayne got traded, so can Connor.

      Having said that, I don’t think it’s impossible Houston gets a team, but it’s more likely through expansion.

    How were they being a Bigot? They were following their beliefs? Defnition of Bigot: a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group. They were not by definition doing this. Name calling is uncalled for. Why can they not be who they are while accepting other just as they said? Its only one way?

      Yeah no worries; he's been good, played more minutes than even Hughes in one of the games from what I heard.  Could always use a stable RHD, which is a commodity.

    Apples to Oranges. They are both equally valuable in their positions. Take one away and our team looks different. I would argue that Demko is our most valuable piece today.

    Demko is proof an all star tender can change a whole team. You need an all star goalie or a hot goalie to win a cup.

      For the most part. There is the very rare occasion. Kuemper was nothing special for the Avs. You don’t have élite goaltending though the odds are very much against you

      @Phil_314100% Murray was great but once everyone figured out his glove was weak, it all fell apart but he got a couple cups early.

      As far as Demko, yes, I like him, and I believe in him - but where was he the first 3 months?  
      If he played then like he is now, we'd would be 1st or 2nd in the division right now.

    I agree Bo doesn't seem like the type to create drama in the locker room but maybe he would have been a better Assistant Captain? I don't know but I agree, vibes probably changed for the better? Time will tell.

    I feel like some of the players have really stepped up since Horvat left. Maybe there was more to the story. I like Bo a ton. Maybe it was best??
