  1. well geez have you heard that beagle is on ltir. internal caps have nothing to do with salary cap.
  2. Also wait 2 weeks for a trade? tree didnt care
  3. it is possible, that a deal could not be done with 18% escrow, taxes, we likely had to offer him 2.2 million plus to even break even with the russian offer. i wouldn't pay more than 2.2
  4. benning gave a offer, tree didn't like it. benning had to wait till offseason to do any moves. tree couldn't wait 2 weeks? he obviously did not care to play that much.
  5. you are making assumptions. internal cap. its a real thing
  6. this smells like a internal cap, the same reason toffoli couldn't be signed is the same reason tree couldn't be signed, he would have to move money before this signing happened. bennings first priority this offseason was defence, goalie then offence. I believe benning when he said he ran out of time, trading virtanen wouldnt have moved the needle enough to sign toffoli and that meant trading pearson. pearson had a pretty good year and was going to be a position of weakness in the future. and boy would the optics look bad trading 2 2nd rounders and pearson for toffoli. pearson had a career year and we still would have likely to pay to get him off the team, we can thank covid for that.
  7. doubt it,when was the last time you heard a billionaire apologize, even after 2008?
  8. I need a break from this forum, focus all my energy on myself.

We all need time away from time to time. Not good for anyone to immerse themselves for too long in all this negativity. I’m taking a two day sabbatical myself starting tomorrow. Be well my friend!

  9. i never defamed you. all i said was that if it happened as it is worded it doesn't look good. then everyone started quoting law. i haven't even said jake surely did it. all i said is she's likely not lying.
  10. the odds are she isn't lying. just because you cant prove that he isn't lying, doesn't mean that she is. of course she may be lying, but if she is thats a damn good lie. but probably he will have a different story, maybe shes bat$&!# crazy, but likely not. anyways if his story is good enough he probably walks, but the odds are she isn't lying.
  11. it doesn't matter if he's found innocent or guilty. if he committed the act he committed the act. if shes lying shes lying. the fact is if the last part didn't happen he's still a total douche.
  12. cool, you found a way to walk the line of the law. congrats. the law is not a expert on rape. are you the kind of guy to hover your finger over someone and say i'm not touching you over and over again. if you think you can get away with the act as comitted in the story your dead wrong. a person can rescind consent at anytime. if some guy knocked on my door and i asked him to leave repeatedly and the last time you start pushing my way past me and i try to stop but failed, thats on them
  13. https://www.instagram.com/p/COTh0f9Akfz/ and there was a point she said she was physically trying to push him off her while saying no, repeatedly
  14. wow, this is a rapists mentality. no, means no. no doesn't mean sometimes yes. there can't be grey area because they tell us that. even saying at least give me a ******* is wrong. from my experience the best way is to be honest with your intentions, from this report jake wasn't honest.
  15. not here, not today or anyday. this thread is about a serious crime allegation. please post benning related posts elsewhere
  16. true story. 28% of women reported thier PARTNER has assaulted them sexually in some form or manner.
  17. thier is 3.6% of he world who are sociopaths and psychopaths, only 20% of the incarcerated population have one of these diseases. the majority of juveniles who get convicted of crimes have ptsd from past trauma. as adults men are more likely to be career criminals so stats are skewed for them. but about 75% of women who commit serious crimes have PTSD. so these are greatly messed up people, if you consider the fact that over 50% of the population will develop ptsd at some point in thier life(takes about two years to cure with therapy) this is one reason to get to know someone before sleeping with them is important. everyone should have some understanding that 30-50% of women will inherit a sexual assault. for men that number is 4-16% NOTES: on the stats of sexual assault the first number in eah case is people who ADMIT to the assault the second number is what is estimated.
  18. either way, if eveyone just ignored this girl and it was true, it's terrible. this situation sucks for all, she might be forever branded by some people, just like jake. no one wins when it comes to serious assaults.
  19. todays event encouraged me to talk about my experience, i left out alot of the embarassing details on this forum, stuff i blame myself for. but on my facebook i came clean about everything. the only reason i posted on facebook was so I could thank people who have reported thier trauma in the past and sympathize with those who still aren't ready.

i hope none of you are my facebook friends.

  20. thank you. we have to be respectful of the process, even if i we don't want to. but I believe in karma, and guys got some serious karma to repay. unfortunately some of us will be caught up injust acusations but, thats the price we pay for a few thousand years of assaulters getting away scott free. it's not right but thats just the way it is now.
  21. i am so angry with you, this woman doesn't need someone telling her what she SHOULD have done. this is not a indicator to guilt. assaults happen, many assaults don't get reported. like mine.
  22. i was nearly a victim and my parents just said i was a smart kid for getting away. i think if i recall I actually bragged to my parents about the situation like i was too smart and too fast. the fact was that a serious thing happened and i was lucky, i was told to just stay away from this guy. it is scary to think what would of happened to me if i obeyed his commands. I never reported it but i don't know his last name. this womans story its some serious PTSD $&!#.
