what did you think it was going to be a thriller or maybe suspensful? -
so i was bored.... i did a comparison between milwaukee and edmonton in cost of living comparison for the average carpenter, warehouse worker and family of 4 TL DR: average edmonton worker saves more money vs the average milwaukee worker. in the tens of thousands for the average family of 4all units are in CAD. all comparisons are made with the exact same unit for each comparison. Average edmonton carpenter makes 60K a year and pays 14.5k a year in taxes. Average milwaukee carpenter makes 72.8K a year and pays 17.6k in taxes Edmonton carpenter cooks and eats at home and lives in a studio apartment in the suburbs . thier basic needs (bus pass, cell phone, clothes, food, internet, health insurance, rent and utilities) 16.5k a year in expenses Milwaukee carpenter cooks and eats at home and lives in a studio apartment in the suburbs and thier basic needs (bus pass, cell phone, clothes, food, internet, health insurance, rent and utilities) 25k a year in expenses In the end the American carpenter saves 30.3K anually and the Canadian saves 29.2k The average warehouse worker for Milwaukee makes 17.1 dollars an hour but works a ton of overtime to make 41.2K a year on average. for edmonton its 16.75 an hour and 33.5K average salary The american warehouse after 7.25k taxes and 25K expenses saves 9k annually and the canadian after 6.6K taxes and 16.5K in expenses saves 10.4k anually Family of 4 in milwaukee. 3 bedroom apartment, cooks and eats at home and lives in the suburbs and has a average health care expenditures of 17.6k. thier basic needs (1 bus pass, 1 car, 1 cell phone, food, health insurance, clothes internet and rent and utilities) this includes no daycare costs. 82.6k a year in expenses. if the milwaukee family make 145.6k (both carpenters) a year - 35.1k in taxes and 82.6k in expenses= 28k in left over money for day care, gifts and vehicle maintenance The same edmonton family will make 120k a year and thier taxes are 35k and expenses and are 39.9K . and thanks to 3.5K in child benefits will have a surplus of 42.6k extra for day care, gifts and vehicle maintenace. so to sum it up its much worse to live milwaukee from a financial standpoint unless you single and making 55K us + a year or if you have a family of 4 you would have to make 164k us + a year to break even with the canadian salary (no daycare costs which are 100% more expensive than edmonton) the average household income in in Milwaukee is 39K so for the massive majority you are much worse off. https://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/canucks-prospects-tracker-sleeper-agent-zlodeyev-hoglander-bumps-slump I have updated the stats to current and highlighted some messages from recent news. Nikita Trymakin is having a career year, Compared to other KHL defencemen, Tryamkin is ninth-overall in average ice time (23:00), 14th in hits (35) 19th in points (8) and first in blocked shots (50) and a +3 in 21GP . He was recently named team captain Vasili Podkolzin struggles in the khl with little minutes on the 4th line (1G 3A in 19GP -1) He will play some games in vhl (0G 1A 1GP +/-0) to get conditioned for the upcoming U20 Karjala Cup. Nils hoglander shows promise in the SHL,he was doing everthing but potting goals, who recently scored his first goal of the season. But is consistency an issue with a 6G Pointless streak shown in the season? (1G 5A 11GP +2) Joni Jurmo struggles in his first year in the Liiga mens league with little minutes and (0G 0A 8GP -5) he is currently the seventh defenceman on the team Dmitri Zlodeyev has been splitting the season between the VHL and MHL league. playing in the MHL is a huge step for his progress as a rookie. His stats for MHL is (4G 6A 12GP +7) And his VHL stats are (4G 0A 8GP -1). He was selected to play for russia in the U20 Karjala Cup

Report Trick or Treat - Offseason NHL Team Report
Bad_BOI_pete replied to grandmaster's topic in General Hockey Discussion
we will be better. By the end of the season, barring any major injuries we will be pushing for the division lead. positives schmidt is a huge upgrade over tanev. can he play 22 minutes until juolevi/rafferty are more trusted? petey was dynamite in playoffs, im expecting ppg+ Player quinn hughes make was dynamite in playoffs, im expecting ppg Player JT Miller was dynamite in playoffs, im expecting ppg Player Boeser will be great for us this year bouncing between petey's and BO's line. i believe he was playing hurt for alot of last season. Virtanen is hungry and will be coming into camp in the best shape of his life, it would not suprise me if he makes top line. gaudette another season under his belt and entering his prime years, i expect modest improvements. motte: in his prime, could he possibly improve from his playoff performance? BO: in his prime, and his playoff hockey makes me hopeful he improve from last season unsure outcomes?? demko and holtby: Is demko ready to play more games? all signs point to yes. can holtby regain his composure playing fewer games with ian clarke guiding him? Ferland: can he be healthy? crosby did it rookies: rafferty/joulevi/hoglander/lind will they step up and not look out of place. im thinking 2-3 rookies on our team this year. roussel: can he bounce back from a off year? or is this the beginning of the end? cap space: Can we circumvent the cap early on in the season? 20/21 man roster? we will need the flexibility if we decide to buy a rental trymakin. this man is a beast and plays 23 minutes a game, but will he come over? he probably demands a big raise 3-4 million, trade edler and swap? negatives edler, sutter, beagle, erikkson they be old, how much will they regress? will LE/sutter even make the team due to cap? is LE even a nhler at this point? depth: this is our biggest hit, if we lose some top guys, its gonna be ugly. 4th line and bottom pairing d. these lines will feature some unproven players and rookies. maybe we will be pleasantly suprised? probably not though conclusion I believe this team will score more goals than last year with all of our best players likely to improve. i believe that we are basically the same roster as last year minus a few plugs. the biggest question mark is the goaltending, on paper we are worse BUT we have a much higher ceiling in the goaltending dept too. how many games will we lose to our depth, if the injury bug strikes. get ready for a excicting season and hopefully a couple of russians at the end of the season. Home line up Cap including 4m in bonuses/buyout and luongo 81.476 million miller/petey/jake pearson/bo/boeser motte/gaudette/lind roussell/beagle/ferland hughes/myers edler/schmidt rafferty/benn or juolevi/benn depth sautner, hawryluk Go canucks Go!!!!!!!!!!! we can add trymakin if we can trade one of edler/sutter/ferland/roussel/beagle. personally i like trading edler cause add a potential 3.5 million dollar ufa player if trmakin signs for a 1 year 1,000,000 salary with a 1.5 million signing bonus. this edler trade also gives us more room to sign our rfas next year. we can prolly sign tree to a 3-4 mill contract for 2021. who would be a good trade target? -

many times in my posts i ask for people to see my point of view, when im confident i know the answer i will provide a statement with evidence. i am confident in myself, and see no other reason to be so. I can provide many posts were i provide multiple examples of how i am likely correct. POV'S are very hard to persuade me from my own, especially when the person im debating with will also not concede any ground. why should i be held at a higher standard, than my fellow posters? I did not attack thier posts, rather it was the opposite. i believe i have a right to defend myself, especially when its just a moral stance. in my books its not about who is right or wrong, its about the discussion itself. i tried to be civil as best as i could many of my arguments, and provided logical examples where exagerating is not very moral. most responses were to bash my intelligence, my morals with no proof. i find these types of posts quite troubling. in my posts i asked questions to people, which many couldnt or refused to answer. at least in my posts i tried to have a reasonable debate, rather than the lynch and strong arm tactics used against me. yet here you are pointing out my faults, what do you have to gain from it? does it make you feel better than me?

[Signing] Conner Brown re-signs in OTT avoids ARB

brown, is a better player than virtanen, his point production is higher while playing against stiffer competition. -
yes. many people are jumping on my opinion, and its quite tiresome.

oh good me too.your point?

it is most likely the employee's responsibility, but im sure a supervisor will tell you whose responsibility it is. if a customer fails to wear a mask, you refuse service and ask them to leave. if the customer refuses to leave and is causing a disturbance you would call the police. if you take on the responsibilty of telling people to put on thier mask, you have every right to do so at a safe distance. you can always refuse unsafe work, you will not be penalized for it. there is almost zero risk to inform them to wear a mask as long as you take precautions. sadly many people dont wear masks despite the rules. many people also have trouble/wont enforce for many reasons. you would be doing your part by intervening and many would appreciate it.

Do Canuck fans think Benning is a great GM?
Bad_BOI_pete replied to fanfor42's topic in Canucks Talk
not every player performs to thier expectations, there are even 2 players picked higher than jake who have had lesser careers. a 40% percent failure rate in the top 5. we are incredibly priviliged to have 4/5 of our first rounders playing on our team. likely by the end of the year we will have all 6/6 players selected in the first round on our team, its actually amazing. -

Bad_BOI_pete replied to fanfor42's topic in Canucks Talk
you have to sign free agents, each and every year. do you have any suggestions of other players he should have signed instead? instead of erikkson maybe we should have signed james neal or milan lucic? what about sutter, any suggestions? what about tyler myers, who instead of him? if its not the players value that are at question is it just the term and money amount? even i a lowly fan understand there are many intagibles whith each player that affects thier value come free agency. both sutter and beagle won a cup, they are proven winners. it is proven that having many leaders on a team increases your winning percentage. The owner wanted us to be winning right away, Jims free agents helped us win more games. the proof is in the pudding, because aquaman resigned him. another reason that may effect the term and AAV of each players UFA contract is playing time, tax brackets, team record and outlook, PP and SH oppurtunities, the city itself, travel schedule, the players role (Top 6, bottom 6) how close the city is to family. these are all factors that effect contracts. Vancouver falls at the bottom on some of these factors, which the most notable of the bunch is the tax bracket. I would argue that vancouver falls very low comparedly to other the other teams in many of these factors. that being said it would not suprise me if Jim had to influence UFAS with better term, AAV and NTC/NMC. 10 years ago gillis was handing out 4 million dollar contacts to our top 4 the ceiling was 59.4 million in 2010. 4 million dollars with a 59.4 million ceiling is nearly the exact same ratio as myers 6million dollar cap hit. the reason you notice it more with Jim compared to gillis is largley due to the cap being 50% higher than 2010. the larger the cap ceiling the larger the disparity will be regardless of who our GM is. this is the reason that a canadian team hasnt won a cup since 1993 virtanen, has played a lot of nhl games and is improving, definitely not a bust. as for juolevi, the book is still out on him, some believe he will be a top 4 defender for us. i agree, that there was better players available at juolevi's spot but he was considered the best defenceman at that position. we were in desperate need for defenseman that year. Jim does not have a crystal ball, he will sometimes choose a player that turns out was not the best player available. to expect that Jim always choose the best player in hindsight is ludicrous. I like Jim, i think he has done a amazing job for us to compete. Until his free agents hamper our ability to sign our RFA's then i see no harm at all. -
I'd like to leave you with one thought, but I'm not sure you have anywhere to put it!

''Just remember that 50% are below average and 70% are idiots. They try hard but some just can’t help but suck. " correction you clearly state that 70% of people are idiots. your second sentence states that below average and idiots try hard but cant help but suck. im pretty happy in my life, people help me and generally dont suck. people are generally not idiots. some and nearly are not similar in this situation. try to put it into the sentence, it makes no sense.
