Thank you, i have been looking for this website for a while now. can you help explain what some stats on puckiq refer too? dff? and gritensity toi? pdo is a measurement of on ice shooting percentage + On ice save %. over your career if you have a good pdo and start mainly in the defensive end, your playing well against your competition. over time all stats will prove valuable. eakin had similar quality of competition based on ice time, vs sutter. -
im not saying it's a sinister plot to raise fears, never have and never will.but, incidently it might increase fear. not cool I understand that the media, rounds up for shock value. BUT, just because its normal to do it doesnt mean its okay in my books. I don't like it, stop trying to change my opinion. I hate that the media gets away with these exagerations all the time, people and other industries would be torn apart if they attempted to get away with it. some examples: Lying about your height in a online dating add. posting advertisments for products 5% cheaper than actual in store cost. your boss tells you to move 100 boxes, but instead you move 95. and spend the time sitting on your phone. today media information is more important than all of history. it is monetized, weaponized and most of all very depressing. so, yes im not ok with the exageration in this headline. also as i pointed out earlier. many people do not read articles, and only read headlines. for all the people, that dont read the article this headline is disengenous. it should not be up to the reader to verify headlines. The headlines should be accurate.

sutters stats were much better than cody eakins last year. similar in points, but sutter started in defensive zone much higher 68%.vs 51%. similar in corsi. sutter also had a much more impressive higher PDO considering his primarily defensive role.sutter's stats improved from 2018/2019 while eakin's has declined in the previous three seasons. Miller will definitely be an improvement over benn, but im thinking we need more of a defensive specialist, than a offensive one. someone has to replace dzone starts that tanev mainly played. miller is a give away machine, plays sheltered minutes in the offensive end and is a defensive liability. his positives is that he is very offensive minded, but our team is not lacking in that department. he will be competing for minutes with myers, which id rather give to myers. sutter's contract ends this year, taking 4.375 million with it. those dollars are pegged for resigning our RFAs next year. we are trying to shed cap, not add to it. this trade doesnt seem like a good fit for the canucks. -
i live in edmonton, where its mandatory to wear masks. there was a giant leap of people wearing masks. although some stores still do not enforce it, and non maskers flock to these stores.

go away with your made up statistics, canada does not infect 4.8% of the population every day. america does not infect 2.6% of the population everyday. current total infected of canada 200,000 canada's population 37,590,000 37,590,000/200,00= 0.05% or half of 1% saying that the article doesnt include any of the infected is ludicrous. and stating that people are likely dying is disingenous.

so instead of defending you choose bullying. i see you, bud

well you clearly said downplaying, am i missing anything? I could also argue (and prove) that depression and anxiety is rising due to scare tactic articles just like these. it is proven that depression and anxiety increases unemployment and suicide. Therfore its proven that this type of article causes more deaths. I would rather go with the facts then your "expert" hypothesis that overstating saves lives.
-
can you show any evidence that over reporting saves lives? i mean you might be able to sway my opinion on the matter. Can you explain how reporting the actual number of deaths is downplaying the situation?
-
the last line of defense is always PPE, that being said it is still very important. the best way is to get the government to mandate masks, but good on you for advocating.
-
so is it that you would think 70% of the people suck? This got any merit, or stats that show this? in my world people actually help me, im sorry that this is not the case for you. Remember, you get more bee's with honey
-
the next time you go to the store and your grocery bill is rounded up from 285 to 300. becasuse its easier to say 300? you ok with that too?
-
I'm sorry, i really am. People that are arguing with me cant see what im actually referring to. Im the one trying to show that 15k deaths is not something to exaggerate. the only thing people can do is outright lie to make me look bad, its actually sad, really that all of you are ok with nearly 15k deaths being over reported. so once again i will state my point of view. we shouldnt be over exagerating 15k deaths, that scares people for no reason other than shock value. it is misleading and dishonest. your turning my POV into a math argument and its sad and disturbing .
-
well, thats actually pretty funny. im glad you had a good relationship. ps: i dont like all the contracts either, but i do expect there is a reasonable explanation behind them. if there wasnt a reasonable explanation, jim wouldnt have had his contract renewed.
-
well we can ask trevor linden, he was fired for not sharing the bosses vision right?
-
hard disagree, most analysts would disagree, most fans would disagree. we are a better team because of that trade. the difference between vegas and tampa is much different. vegas was over the cap by 10% that means they must act within 24 hours or suffer penalties.
-
when was the last time you sat your boss down and told him you cant meet his expectations, and still expect to keep your job. i guarntee you benning is doing a great job for his boss, us pitily fans are not even considred.
-
so you agree, sometimes you have to overpay. do you think we were a attractive market these past few years? all Free agents knew that they were going to have to compete with our depth chart. all FA knew they had to pay more in tax. most analists had us near the bottom of the standings, most FA want to win. jim was in a tough spot, he probably knew he was overpaying for certain contracts. ownership probably had a goal to reach playoffs every year. you dont sign free agents under bidding other teams. if Jim didnt sign anyone he would have been fired along time ago.
-
would it be such a reach for you to understand that we were trying to make the playoffs? you understand this a buisness right? wins bring people to the stands, which= real money in the owners pocket. having a terrible season will affect ticket prices, season ticket renewal, attendance and concession revenue. for some owners tanking is not an option. and yes you do not choose your free agents, it is way more complicated than that. im guessing that your on plan 10 after a few short days. you bid on whats available and usually have to give in to the players demand. this is not be a gm mode, so many factors.
-
and we also made the second round playoffs, he had a plan you must realize that. i dont think there's any issues if the cap raises. You cant punish jim for not expecting a flat cap, when everyone was predicting it to raise. Many GMS are in the same or worse situation then us cap wise. i can argue that not going after these "bad" contracts would likely have made us a less competitive team. obviously, each year our goal was to make the playoffs. To me getting to the second round was a success. you do not get to choose your free agents, it is a process. there are many factors in play that influence a players decision. some of those factors are detriments to the canucks, for instance: the taxes that a vancouver player pays, is significantly higher. if you dont think that is not a factor, i cant help you

everyone who doesnt read the article is misled about it. and i would safely bet more people just read the headline. one would say that might mislead some people no? your trying to make me look wrong when in fact i cannot be wrong on a subjective matter. you have already agreed with me that 15k is a large number. why not agree that its probably not good to round up 15k deaths. oh and by the way if all you have is the title to go by, nearly 300000 can only be 300000. keep fighting for no reason other than semantics. i find it quite childish and boring
-
nearly, is subjective. 285000 is not nearly 300000
-
once again, 5% means alot to some people. when your 5'8'' do you lie and tell everyone that your 6 foot? why must i be wrong because i dont like how it can mislead.
-
listen you don't have to pester me, but you are. id rather you stop arguing about something i feel strongly about, your not going to get far. go bother someone else
