  1. Gary bettman respects provorov and all players that didnt participateinpride events.... what a smart man. he also mentioned how it was not important that a few people didnt participate, and that it shouldnt take away from the effort put into these events.... hmmm, its like this genius of a man and i have exactly the same views... what a legend
  2. their is zero nhl talent available, looks like either the canucks or the canucks are making a trade.
  3. atlantic is gonna win handily. again mcdavid never had a good goaltender stopping for him... actually noticing now that central has 3 d for everyones else 1... central should win. hmmm, im waffling the Tkachuk bros are stupid enough to take this game seriously and hit and play hard
  4. I love how this is your go to response for every proposal pretty much... I want to think you are being supportive... but maybe you are just trolling all us armchair GM's with undetectable sarcasm.
  5. man this @Zerofaith has little dick energy spewing out in a filthy sad troll job.... I hope this person isnt as sad as his posts are.
  6. wow, thats tough... not only sign petey to a long term contract but also impress Peyey...
  7. dazzle im pretty sure the new expansion teams have talking rights with the UFA's before any other team, they cannot sign a contract but they can speak with them
  8. this contract is not worth very much in the grand scheme of things... likely worth 100 -150 million a year... or maybe 1.5 -2.0 % of its revenue.... The NHL revenue is estimated to be in the 6+billion this year. If this effects salary cap, it will only mean that it will not raise 4 million in cap this year and the standard 1 million raise will be the new cap next year.
  9. they were not into the body... most people on youtube agree with me... i took the time to slow and pause the video watching it frame by frame... in each instance the head was the primary point of contact... Kariya took a elbow to the jaw, and horton a shoulder to the head... and as for the rules... you might want to actually read them... you are wrong... 48.1 Illegal Check to the Head – A hit resulting in contact with an opponent’s head where the head was the main point of contact and such contact to the head was avoidable is not permitted. In determining whether contact with an opponent's head was avoidable, the circumstances of the hit including the following shall be considered: (i) Whether the player attempted to hit squarely through the opponent’s body and the head was not "picked" as a result of poor timing, poor angle of approach, or unnecessary extension of the body upward or outward. (ii) Whether the opponent put himself in a vulnerable position by assuming a posture that made head contact on an otherwise full body check unavoidable. (iii) Whether the opponent materially changed the position of his body or head immediately prior to or simultaneously with the hit in a way that significantly contributed to the head contact. as the main point of contact was the head and avoidable, these were headshots and for rome he had unnecessary upward and extension to the head
  10. I like tyler mottes game but his ability to stay healthy is concerning.. he averages 43GP a season and for that reason i am out unless he signs for under the replacement level of 1.175m a year... injuries may catch up to him at any point... I would be sure he is only getting offered 1 and 2 year contracts, and for that reason i would offer him a lowball offer of 1 million x 4 years... if his injuries come and strip him from his game we just waive him and say thank you for being a canuck. Connor Clifton like schenn has some really good numbers this year.... when he plays with Hampus Lindholm, when he isnt they are not impressive at all, and for that reason i am out... he likely will get paid for his stats and I think he is getting his tires pumped by Hampus... I am all for Hathaway size and strength and willing to sacrifice the body. he is very defensive minded which is what you want from your 4th line guy, but 12 goals and 25 points is not bad at all... I would be wary giving him a contract longer than 2 years... age creeps up faster on 4th line guys... 1.65x2? I would like another few players to add to the list.... Scott Mayfield... he is a monster at 6'5" and 220 and plays RD. He is the NYI number 1 PK man for a dman and blocks alot of shots 37th in the league... he plays very tough minutes very well and is utilized as a shutdown dman, like clifton his success is only being noticed this year, but he is doing it running the line on the third pairing averaging almost 21 minutes a game... He does not throw the body too much but is in the range of successful dmen... where he is right in the middle of the pack. he is not a scorer but i think if he played with Hughes their games would compliment each other very well... if we tell him that we are targeting him to play alongside hughes and be our number 1 PK'er he may want to sign with us... I would be willing to pay him in the 3-4 million dollar range for 4 years. Ideally i would like to keep Bear and Schenn and make them compete for the 6th spot until injuries open up a spot... Ian Cole or carson Soucy are the best defensive LD available and may be had for near 3 million a year.... Alexander Edler... 1 year to finish his career as a canuck he will be brought in as depth all these signings mean we need to shed a forward, im looking at garland or Boeser...
  11. admit it you have never watched this kid play... you called him a bottom 6 winger... that means you dont watch him play... he may not get PP1 time but he is not a bottom 6 winger... him and his linemates play the toughest minutes on their team... there are alot of people that put up 35 points and are bottom 6 wingers and the difference is that they are likely playing against weak competition... if you can get a player that holds their own against the best players in the world and they make 4 million thats fricking great...
  12. so i guess i will call you blind... kariyas head snaps back before his body moves.... and the rome explanation LOL you are grasping at straws his sweater may have dusted his shoulder... rome definitely hit this mans head.... you are just like many people on this forum who cannot be proven wrong... enjoy being "Right"
  13. tell me these are not headshots... and i will call you blind... frickin kariyas head snap backs a full 0.2 seconds before his body does... and rome well you can see his shoulder touching hortons head
  14. you can clearly see both heads snap back... it doesnt matter if you start contact with the shoulder... if you follow through and up into the head it is still a head shot...
  15. different time, diiferent rules. both would be suspensions today... late hit and head was the principle point of contact.
  16. I love how click baity we have become... farming for our likes
  17. so this is his career year? then... im much more likely to want to pay someone for career defensive prowess than offensive prowess... its not like he was even getting his numbers pumped by his linemates... Sebastion Aho and alexander Romanov
