  1. Really hope the boys come out flying tonight and don't look back. Really there are no excuses now. It's do or die. Go Go
  2. I think Lundqvist might be even better in the long run. I would definitely consider that heavily if the other multiple pieces were high quality as well. I like the idea of having a good offensive guy on both the right and left who can skate and play with high end offensive forwards. Then surround them with complimentary Schenn and Hamonic types. It almost guarantees you're taking the play to the opposition on most shifts if it works out. You can't move him now though unless we lose 5 of 7 or something, or get Laff+Schnieder+ lol. Here is an interesting article on him even though its older. https://www.lohud.com/story/sports/nhl/rangers/2021/09/16/ranking-top-10-prospects-ny-rangers-no-1-nils-lundkvist/8347748002/ Another one but newer. https://nhlrumors.com/2021-22-top-10-new-york-rangers-prospects/2022/01/24/
  3. Now I'm feeling frustrated, emotional, vocal, assertive, and outspoken.
  4. I think you're reading way to much into it. I thought this was hockey not a wellness circle. You're way to thin skinned. If someone calls you pissy last game you just say oh yeah and walk away. No big deal. It's not like some horrific insult or something. This is like pee-wee sh!t in here. I'm sorry I've upset you by using a word you don't like. Good grief. Put whatever words you want in my mouth and call it whatever the hell you want.
  5. They're still going to get a great pick. Good for the franchise either way.
  6. If I just met him? No of course not, that would be extremely rude and uncalled for. I probably wouldn't lead with that. Would you call Garland short the first time you met him? If we were talking and he asked me or it came up I'd have no problem sharing my opinion (although I might stand back a bit ). I'm not afraid of getting into a fist fight with a decent human being over hockey opinions. Besides a true leader wouldn't hit me would he? I also think Brett Hull was pretty slow. Doesn't mean he wasn't a great hockey player. Even though he's a class A jerk imo. I don't think you guys are living in the real world anymore. Does JT also have a 180 IQ, solve world hunger, and cure cancer in his spare time? What next, are you going to give me sh!t for calling Boudreau old? I think we're seeing him grow as a leader but it it really so impossible for you to believe that J.T. may have a thing or two to work on yet in his hockey life?
  7. lol. Wow Mitchell sure served up a big helping of coma-toast with that hit.
  8. Okay first of all I think Miller is awesome. I never said otherwise. My comment was in the middle of a civil conversation regarding his leadership qualities. Secondly I'm not "going negative" on him because myself and others notice some leadership deficiencies. Despite your fairytale world beliefs J.T. is not the perfect hockey player, no one is. Secondly, never once was Bo ever mentioned, nor was a leadership comparison mentioned. Thirdly, I've in fact brought up the lack of leadership on this team and I'm on record saying I'm not sure if Bo is the right guy at this point. In addition I'm not even necessarily against Miller in a leadership role moving forward despite a couple rough areas. Maybe you should get off your high horse, read a little bit before commenting, and not come in guns a blazing screaming, ranting and raving at people like the madman your avatar portrays. Some people such as yourself just go off the rails getting carried away about stuff and now somehow you're anointing J.T. as the best leader in history. Just providing a little dose of reality and perspective. You can simultaneously be a great hockey player and not be perfect, but still good at some things. Get a grip man!
  9. Can't stand listening to PK drone on always trying way to hard to be cool. I would rather he gets an NHL job.
  10. Lol, what do you call that OT play if that's not pouting. I'm not being negative at all just being slightly honest and realistic. I know that's tough on some folks here. JT Miller can be 'not the best in the world" at something. It's okay Sam! I think anyone being honest with themselves will admit he gets a little pissy at times when the chips are down. I don't think it's the end of the world so no need to go defending his honor or anything. Just trying to have a conversation.
  11. Yeah it's only fair to look at both sides. It's definitely not leadership when he's pouting because they're losing, giving up on the play in OT, throwing blind passes around when they're down, yelling at his teammates, or breaking sticks on the bench in frustration. In that sense his leadership is lacking. He's definitely an emotional leader in the sense of the word but that also comes with several shortcomings at this point in his career. I would say he's not Crosby or Bergeron, but he's better than average for sure.
  12. Exactly what I was trying to say. If you want a guy that's vocal and yelling and wearing his heart on your sleeve Miller is definitely right up there in visuals. It doesn't mean that guys who are quieter or don't scream and shout every play don't want to win. Looks at the Sedin's, Yzerman, Sakic, Selanne, Datsyuk, Lidstrom. Bourque, Lemieux. I don't think these guys liked losing anymore than Miller just because they were more reserved. I think we can safely say Miller is super competitive and he wants to win badly. That much is for sure. I don't think it matters much more than that. Whether he's a good leader or not is a different story entirely. Leadership or Captaincy is far more than getting ramped up during the games although that should/could be a (big) part of it.
  13. I CARE about that Core. I CARE so much that I CARE about that Core more than most Core CARERS.
  14. Oh puke, imagine JT and Mustache boy signing there. Haha, gross. The one thing I wonder is if he'd want to sign at all around his home state Ohio. Maybe he has family there although East Palestine is a long way from Columbus. Closer to Pittsburgh actually. Maybe something like that drives his decision. Either way it's not to hard to envision most teams competing soon if they play their cards right. Teams like Ottawa, Buffalo, Detroit, Columbus, LA, Ana, are acquiring more and more young talent where they might be able to attract a couple big UFA's and become contenders soon. It all depends on the vision sold to the player and what they want to believe. I think with JT being so dominant he will have lots of good offers of money and success. We'll see how serious he is about winning when he signs on the dotted line.
  15. I don't know. I guess guys like Motte, Highmore, Hughes, Demko, Horvat, Hoglander, Podkolzin, Pearson, Petterson, Myers, etc., just don't care. Is there some stat that has caring scales? Isn't it enough to say Miller obviously cares a whole hell of a lot. I wouldn't necessarily say a quiet or reserved player cares less. I confess maybe I missed post or two in this conversation somehow. Ah well, either way I concede since this conversation is silly. Miller is the biggest hater of losing.
  16. Hands down the best hater of losing ever in history. OMG Hilarious, I'm actually chuckling right now. Reading comprehension going down the tubes here.
  17. Lol I find this so funny/petty when Canucks fans get up in arms about this and then bash him about the winning comment thing. What's he supposed to say when he's responding to a brand new fan base? As if he's a bad guy or liar or something for saying that. Or for accepting that fat contract. Like he didn't want to win there or something. He was a winner in Vancouver. Not every athlete just signs up with the best team. Most play for the competition, not only the winning. As well Buffalo was very much a team on the rise with new direction and spending $$, as evidenced on the Ehrhoff signing. I'm sure he went there with plans to play on a winner. I remember Ehrhoff as being a pretty cool guy in 2011. Canucks fans be mad when Ehrhoff cashed in after a great SCF run. Is Miller next?
  18. Yeah I agree, you don't get to the NHL without desperately wanting to win and hating to lose. Probably a couple outliers here and there that just have so much skill they make it without the desire to win but there's a lot of correlation with the two. You can sign a money contract in Arizona or Buffalo for hockey reasons and still be a die hard competitor who hates to lose. Generally every NHLer's life is centered on winning hockey games.
