  1. Thank you. At least some people can be realistic hockey wise here. I think BB is super great but he's not an omnipotent God or something like some people seem to think. There are common problems in hockey and on all hockey teams. None are perfect. Just about all teams struggle with large player changes and injuries. (but not if BB is coach maybe I guess I'm told?) Couldn't agree more on Green. It would be great to see him get a chance just for the threads, drama, and of course arguing about Green for another 200 pages would be awesome! He 100% needs a media lesson on how not to make the fans not just want to punch him in the face though. lol It would be funny as hell to see him succeed as well.
  2. Haha, we're always at opposite views here. I'm just suggesting the possibility. Like I said though most importantly what if's are meaningless. We're never getting those points back. Who knows according to some people we would have been the first team to be 55-0. p.s. Motte affected the PK and bottom 6 immensely though. BB still would have had a tough task replacing him effectively with the options available. I think that was more on Benning and any coach would have struggled with no Sutter available either, combined with Dickinson being less than underwhelming. Before you get excited I'm not arguing BB hasn't done an admirable job (far better than TG), especially with putting players like Petey, and Hughes out there. Sedin's anyone. However, what is our PK currently at with BB now? I found this article from Feb 8 where we were 17th overall. It's actually a pretty interesting read if you got the time. https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/improved-canucks-penalty-kill-boudreau
  3. Yeah it's hard to know if we really would have gotten many more points. Petterson was struggling mightily. Demko wasn't his usual lights out. No Motte, no Hamonic, no Lammikko emergence. Highmore also struggled until recently. Miller wasn't near as hot. Really though it doesn't matter. The team/players played like crap and he we are 4-6 points out with 25 games left. I think if Boudreau would have been here from the start it might even be worse as these guys wouldn't have had any reason to pull their heads out of their ass.
  4. I don't think you should be listening to anyone regarding what's been offered. No one knows what's on the table or officially offered. The media rarely gets trades right. It's not like the GM's call them up and keep them in the loop. It's all speculation. We almost never hear of it until it happens. There could be crazy offers out there we don't even know about. Any amount of time on HF is too much. Just a bunch of asshats over there. Well the Vancouver board anyway.
  5. How clueless and dumb can these people be? It's like when you build an airstrip you make the runways a little longer You know just in case. How can this collection of idiots not see this. They're upset because authorities are being over cautious in a PANDEMIC! I'm out of words at this point to describe how dumb these people are.
  6. But, what if you're a super whiny, self absorbed, and impatient narcissist? What then gurn, what then? Shouldn't we be bending over backwards and taking personal health risks to satisfy their every whim? /sarcasm
  7. Best part Is Patrick and company drafted Connor Bleakly instead. Thank gawd.
  8. That line has been very good but is it worth it if Motte wants a big deal? On the other hand this guy is built to be a playoff pick up for a contender. Deadly penalty kill guy that can score and scored 4 big goals in 17 playoff games 3 years ago. This a the type of player that really beefs up the bottom 6 for a playoff run. I could easily see him being worth a 2nd round pick to a contender. That's a pretty good start on trying to re-stock the cupboards. When you think about it though how integral was he to the emergence of the fourth line, and the PK ability is Sutter like. Not to mention he adds a veteran presence now. The only thing that irks me though is when he gets penciled into the third line. He's a fourth liner so he needs to be paid accordingly. I would do a 4 year deal worth $2, or 3 for slightly more but it all depends on the direction we're going. It might not be worth paying a premium over the next couple of years to the fourth line. Edit: Also on the downside Motte is a little smaller at 5'10", 190. It seemed both JR and BB wanted to be a bit bigger and tougher so this would be a spot in which to make that happen while saving 1 to 1.5 million.
  9. Poker night at my buddies. He's a big Leafs fan. It would be awesome to beat them again as an appetizer before I take all his money at the table!
  10. I did it based off a 90% vaccinated rate. Not sure if that's correct I haven't checked that number lately but it must be close.
  11. I'm not 100% sure I did the extrapolation correct but if no one was vaxxed it would bring that 288 number up to 1317. Meaning the vaccine is keeping roughly 1028 people out of the hospital and completely overwhelming the system and causing many deaths.
  12. No no no, you don't get it. Out of the 439 people vaccinated 288 were hospitalized. Not very effective. Duhhhhhhhhh, numberzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Never trust a Darth.
  13. A tea cup is an upgrade over Bailey. Gawd is he terrible.
  14. Yes, overall our team may play good defence but our right side adds nothing at all dynamically. It's great that we can get by but that's an entire position that could be contributing to the scoring goals or possession side of hockey. However it's simply a black hole 60 minutes a game unfortunately. The other teams have no cares at all besides Hughes, and that makes us easy to play against. If Benning was still here I would say no question we ride out Miller, and Myers, and maybe even Boeser. With new management coming in though and relooking at every thing I think they should make some major moves with their vision in mind. This team has some big flaws, cap problems, structural problems and leadership problems. Probably best to pull the band aid off sooner than later given a fresh perspective from ownership. I don't think this team is quite as good as we're seeing under Bruce.
  15. Yeah I just find it odd how some people don't think the players had anything at all to do with the bad start. Where I'm from the players are the ones playing the game and have the most influence on winning and losing games. They share the brunt of the responsibility. The coaches and management all play big parts too but I wouldn't want anything to do with any player happy with their performance after an 8-15-2 start, besides maybe Demko. Thankfully I don't think any of the players are happy their lack of quality play during that period. Like some fans on here lol. I do think some experience/and or the right chemistry is missing in the dressing room and on the ice but I'm hopeful it will be addressed by Allvin and co.. I sure hope the players blame themselves for that ugly game and not Green lol. That's ridiculous.
  16. Hmmmm, I don't think we're talking about the same thing. Cheers.
  17. So none of the early season fiasco is on the players at all?
  18. Exactly, some people here don't hold the players accountable all who played poorly as a group to begin the season. They just stick their head in the sand and pretend it was all on Green, yet we see the same issues now and then 30 games into a new coach as well.
  19. Whadda you mean? Drinking and driving. I'm in a boat! Ahhh F#^k it, I quit hockey. lol
  20. I agree Motte is a hell of a player. I was ecstatic when the trade first happened. One of the few actually. It depends what his future plan is. I think he likes Van and probably appreciates the chance he's been given here. The hopes are we would sign a good deal but he might be playing so well we can't afford him. As far as Boeser I agree there too. He doesn't do a heck of a lot out there if someone isn't setting him up for goals. It's too bad I have seen him play pretty tough and I think he is capable of adding that but he doesn't work hard enough out there. A little too complacent as a personality maybe. I would say they're working harder. I'm not perplexed at all by BB's statement. It's a credit to both the coaches and the players. I wouldn't be crediting the Rangers win to Green either so I just think it's kind of funny how you give Boudreau 100% credit for anything good and any little thing that goes wrong is still somehow Green's fault. I don't really care about Green he's so far in my rearview mirror. You can only contribute bad habits to an old coach for so long, or you also have to give him credit for our success as well. I think BB is great but I'm not going to pretend he's infallible or doesn't have shortcomings or doesn't share any responsibility though.
