  1. Lol, you're funny Jay. The team didn't show up to play on March 1 is telling of how the team was coached from October to Dec 6. Okalee dokalee.
  2. Agree 100%. Our D has be atrocious for 15 years. It must be fixed at any cost at this point. Agree that Huggy is the only real keeper. I don't mind Burroughs as a young replacement player though. When it's this dire I say just go pay the price and move on to the future.
  3. I've been watching hockey interviews for 40+ years. Never have I seen a player not at least mention they would like to play for the team in the future, at least as a platitude to the fans, or even to quench the existing fire, even if it's not entirely true. In the hockey world making statements like these are second nature, like breathing. He said nothing of the sort ... but yes he was extremely professional, serious minded, and focused on business like usual. J.T. is a different animal so maybe he's just not acting like a usual hockey player but if I'm getting the same type of talk as a J.R., or Allvin, I'm shopping him hard.
  4. With an implied touch of "Oh man I hope they trade me this deadline".
  5. And @HKSR and his interpretation in 3.2.1 proclaiming this is J.T. committing his future to Vancouver. He's basically paving his way out of Van with that one.
  6. I would guess zero, he'd still be skating out of his own zone by the time Petey subbed off most shifts.
  7. And he then gives him Hoglander? Okay Bruce, how did you get BC's best on the plane?
  8. What exactly are the 'restrictions' TML guy is so up in arms about? I'm curious, the masks are being lifted. No more passports, full attendance at hockey games. Businesses are open. Schools are open. What is it that seriously impacts his life so much?
  9. One thing, almost the biggest for me, is with Hoglander missing the net so many times in great shooting positions within 3 ft of the net. Not like it's the cause but it seems like a lot of those end up the back of our own net. You have to at least get a shot on net in those positions. How he misses the net or the puck every single time ... I just don't know. It gets demoralizing when you work so hard and he blows the final play time and time again.
  10. Lol, that's the problem. Haha, just joking Sam but he's not really a good leader. He's good inspiration though through his on ice performance. However that will wane and yes, both Boeser, and Horvat will plausibly be more effective players in 5 years.
  11. To be a point getting defenceman on a good team often you just need to get the puck to the forwards quickly and cleanly and let them do there work. Other than the power play that is. He might not be flashy but fits our needs well. A mobile defenceman that can skate and mesh well well with our gifted forwards.
  12. Wow, coming quick for you guys too. Yeah I remember when this first happened the struggles you had and continue to have. My sincere wishes you continue to get better. I think I'm going to be precautious at first, triple vaxxed as well. I haven't caught it but I also rarely go out. It will be nice if it does work out though. It really does suck wearing a mask in winter if you have glasses and a spinal cord injury.
  13. This TML guy. That's literally how a child thinks. They simply can't fathom cleaning their room for 10 minutes and then they can play all night. It just seems like forever, even if it's not even close, and they can't wrap their brains around time, planning, or responsibility. Some people are just stunted in their development, even as adults and they simply don't grow out of it. It's like a child in an adult body.
  14. Lol, you gotta be pretty dumb to not get SNL. Par for the course though.
  15. Well, got through the first day of no masks here in Sask. It was weird I saw an older gentleman come out of the library with no mask. We had a little civil conversation and he remarked how wonderful and free it felt. I and many others remained masked though. Habit and precaution I guess. So we'll see how it goes here. I'll let you guys and gals know.
  16. Exactly it literally doesn't matter. No one wants Halak, he has an NMC, he's not going anywhere, and it wouldn't matter if he did. It's a ho-hum thing.
  17. lol first Green sucks now Boudreau, only on cdc where coaching the nhl is child's play by people in elementary and high school, or holding a plethora of other jobs ... besides coaching. I hear Torts is available. also I notice guys like @DeNiro are pretty up in arms about this. I was watching with my brother and dad and I told them I saw Halak struggling and explained the situation (mostly my bro my dad watches every game with me). However I find it kind of funny. Like did people just expect Demko to play 32 in a row, or is their problem with Benning or Allvin/JR? What happens if Demko gets hurt .. season over? At the end of the day it was a perfectly reasonable start date. We lost one hockey game where the entire team played like poop, there are 27 games remaining and we're just as unlikely to make the playoffs as we were the day before. Blame Halak if it makes one feel better but it's really just one game where the team failed miserably. Edit: I will add even a better backup performance or Demko in net and this stinky team only put up 2 goals again for the millionth time this year. We didn't deserve it. Garland and Boudreau said it best. Also, our defensive decision making is putrid at times.
  18. If I'm Boudreau I'm surely more pissed at my regular starters who played like absolute mutton as compared to the backup goalie who laid an egg in his 12th start of the year. If I'm comparing them side by side. If the team plays good and the backup loses it's one thing but I'd be just steamed at the rest of the team's performance, and far more concerned with that.
  19. I agree with the other stuff but not the Myers goal. In my opinion as a defender you need a plan to get that puck to safety, especially when he's got the puck and big separation. I watched it again and while not as bad as I first thought I'm getting pretty tired of him continually coughing up the puck like that. His size hurts him in that situation, he has a hard time getting pucks out of the corners because he can't pivot fast enough sometimes. He literally looks over his shoulder and puts it right on his stick. At least rifle that at hip height don't just put it on the tape. I get what you're saying to though.
