  1. Yeah some people are just willfully obtuse. I know you like to beat that drum Jay but you're always missing the fact that these decisions are also based on his previous AHL performance and the coaches views of him in the AHL. They are also mostly based on practice in training camp and whether they are able to absorb the lessons taught to them, which obviously Gadjovich was unable to do. It's too bad they didn't have an extra game to waste so they could satisfy your curiosity but they were concerned with more important things than desperately hoping Gadjovich became better overnight. The preseason is there for the management team to judge the players, not for the fans like you to justify their actions. And yes 9 minutes is more than enough if some plug goes out there and demonstrates in the previous 8 minutes that he hasn't learned anything the coaches are trying to teach him. I'm sorry to say but I watched him in the AHL and in his limited time with the big club and it is quite visible to me that besides being able to bang the puck in from close in the AHL he's virtually useless at every other aspect of the game. This made him expendable as an asset. One they wouldn't have minded keeping as a prospect undoubtedly but not at the cost of wasting a roster spot he didn't deserve. What if a better coach taught him systems and used him in different situations during training camp to see how he could contribute? Lol this systems thing is getting out of hand on this site. Having better systems is one thing but it's not turning Gadjovich into Gordie Howe. You seem to be overly hopeful in this regard. As we can clearly see a "real" hockey coach in San Jose hasn't done what you suggested either. Gadjovich is a terrible skater and he knew full well that being able to PK would help him secure an NHL job. Gadj is too slow and can't read the game at speed. He will never be a PK'er at that rate. Sometimes people just need to admit that some players just don't make it, even if you drafted them high. See Hunter Shinkaruk, Brendan Gaunce, Cole Cassels, and Nick Jensen. You didn't see us keep Brisebois up on the club just because we were afraid to lose him either. He just didn't do enough to warrant being on the team. Guys like Petan and DiGuiseppe were taken because they were deemed more valuable at that point. Some people seem to not understand that you take the best players possible in order to win the games ... period. I don't really understand why you guys keep arguing this when the writing and evidence is already one the wall. Gadjovich wasn't able to be sent down without waivers, as you will notice both Petan and DiGuiseppe were sent down now as well. They sent down Gadj early with the hopes he would clear. He was getting waived one way or the other because her was found lacking in what the team needed. End of story. I also spent some time on the Sharks sites and the general convention is Gadjovich is only there due to injuries and prospects still playing oversees. I find this topic amusing in a warped way. Now if Podz got sent down and we were having this conversation it might make sense but I still can't figure out why guys are banging the drum for a guy who is a weak defender, can't PK, plays less than 10 min ATOI, is sometimes a healthy scratch, and is on pace for 0 goals and 5 assists. I guess in some dimension somewhere that makes sense. It's a head shaker in this one though. Isn't there enough evidence already to roast Green at the stake without grasping at straws?
  2. Here you go. You know these whiny insults just show how little you know about hockey and why no one takes you seriously about anything. You really don't know much about hockey if you think a .478 winning % makes you "not an NHL coach in any regard". There are hundreds and hundreds of coaches with worse records, in fact Green isn't that far behind Boucher, Muckler, Simpson, Hay, Gainey, MacLean, or even King Clancy in that regard. I'm not saying he's been great or anything but as a rookie coach he certainly did alright lasting 5 years and compiling a decent amount of wins. It's not an easy job and he struggled as anyone does not named Bowman, Cooper, Brind'amour, etc. Green had an up and down tenure and deserved to be let go but what is point of making outlandish statements to denigrate an already fired coach? Childish insults with no credence don't make you look smart.
  3. S U T T E R Oh sorry, I thought you said Foundational!
  4. lol, not the second one for sure but the academic gene slicer may be a bit of a reach even for me. I suppose if I hit the antivaxxer website they probably offer a two week University PhD Degree in Microbiology to go along with their Become a Certified Medical Expert in just 5 short lessons.
  5. There were 25-44 yr old deaths in September with a bigger bump then some other months. This is what we know so far.
  6. Yeah, what in tarnation are you talking about? Where is this link and please cut and paste what the he'll you're referring to.
  7. Lol, do you really believe this ridiculousness? That's funny.
  8. Conspiracy theory nuts who are too dense to realize they are under government control whether they take a life saving vaccine or not.
  9. Do you have the internet? You can find millions of them there. Be responsible and get a mask(s). As stated Dr. Bonnie has nothing to do with manufacturing. I think you guys got way off track making her a celebrity. You should be following the medicine not a tv character.
  10. That may very well be the case but you don't just immediately throw out all safety and precautions. No one is clamoring for endless boosters, most just want to end this nightmare. It's a lot easier and safer to take a slow approach and review the incoming data before making such an important decision. I get it you must be terribly impatient but hopefully this new variant allows everyone to ease off restrictions and get back closer to normal. I'm getting a booster as soon as I can regardless of Omicron. The half hour wait and a teeny tiny needle is a pretty minor inconvenience for me.
  11. Maybe the problem is you're paying to much attention to a talking head. Everybody knows you're supposed to wear a mask regardless of the description given in a press release, aerosol, airborne, touch, whatever. It's just common sense. She probably has a reason not to call it airborne or whatever your complaining about which was conceived while collaborating with all the other health care personnel she works with. Why would someone be concerned with this unless they're just trying to needlessly bash someone? I thought you guys had access to masks in BC, or are you saying she got rid of them all? They're readably available everywhere else in Canada.
  12. It's like talking to a brick wall. Lol, you're just talking utter nonsense now. So they are both useless except Gadjovich fought once (So did Sestito). I guess that's a great NHL player in your eyes and makes him infinitely better. Pretty dumb logic lol. The funny part is somehow in your mind this makes Boudreau great because he played him 5/6 games but Green sucks for doing the same thing. Do you see how you're not making any sense at all? Probably not. You're clearly just throwing out dumb things to accuse Green of when we all understand your point perfectly already. Like @Curmudgeon says with all due respect this conversation is over as you're only here to spew more hate (why I don't know he's gone and you've stated it a million times already) on Green as compared to having a civil conversation. Carry on I'll catch up with you in some other threads.
  13. Yeah but he's been better than Gadjovich (certainly no worse). I've watched Gadj play 5-6 games now. He is absolutely useless out there so I'm not sure where you're getting the night and day difference from. Seems more like you are piling on Green more than anything. Gadjovich has not been good and I expect he'll be out of the league by next year or sooner. In fact LeBlanc, Balcers, Merkely, Barbanov, Nieto, and Blichfield are all more preferred options, as are the prospects vying for spots next year. Chiasson also reads the game far better. Gadjovich is a placeholder until they get anybody else. I'm just confused as to why you think Gadjovich is so good. The eye test and statline say he's borderline useless at the NHL level, which I could clearly see last year and in training camp this year. He's not any better than Chiasson.
  14. Another perfect example. How anyone can say Gadjovich is a huge upgrade on anyone just proves how lost (down the rabbit hole) he is.
  15. Yup, so filled with hate it's a little shocking. It sounds like he's talking about Jeffrey Dahmer or something. Very overboard. Those players are all steaming garbage, well certainly no better than Chiasson and like all hockey teams the GM makes the final call and moves players around anyway so it was a team decision. I get that they aren't impressed with his work but they are just purely making crap up at this point. At least it's motivated for the love of the Canucks I guess but it's completely made up rubbish. Failed as a man .. geezes lol. That's why these guys often come off as looking uneducated. They are so quick to level insults that half of what they say is wrong. Green did come off a little snug and arrogant but damn that pressure must have been intense. He certainly wasn't horribly out of line or anything, he just maybe could have conducted himself better, like all of us at times. A locker room cancer. Good grief give your head a shake man. A perfect example about @ Heffy is Chiasson. I got banned one day defending Green and Chiasson because there was a huge group (as has been said) frothing at the mouth in bloodlust. Anyways Heffy went on for pages and pages about how big a piece of garbage Chiasson was and so was Green for keeping him. After getting reinstated I noticed Heffy just gushing over Boudreau so I pointed out that Boudreau played that piece of garbage 4 out of 5 times himself. Well of course Heffy completely changed his tune 180 degrees saying he's a fine as a player with the right coach. A complete contradiction ... so I don't really pay attention to his rants. They are filled with lies, anger, and conjecture and are way over the top. But he definitely has no problem getting his point across. lol I'm sure Green will surface somewhere and he'll probably be a lot better as he definitely had some learning opportunities here.
  16. I would have liked a more neutral option. It won't affect us negatively or positively BB will have the boys ready. A little more practice will have been beneficial but definitely lose a little of that momentum unless we win the next one we'll get that right back. Big game against Anaheim coming up. Real good young players there, will be interesting to see how and why they've been playing so well.
  17. I like the looks of our team as a playoff group. Just a little more beef would be nice. JR has said that's what he's looking for so the next month and a bit should be very interesting to say the least.
  18. Exactly. I give up with these people. There is absolutely no point. I'm usually one known to buck the trends and do things my own way but I'm not going to out and pretend I know more about this situation then the people that have dedicated their entire lives to it. But yet here we are with average everyday people thinking their smarter and have more medical knowledge than the Canadian Minister of Health. It really is mind boggling that people are this deluded.
  19. The sad thing with these anti-vaxxers was where were they before all of this. Doing absolutely nothing about their beliefs until the opportunity existed to screw up everything for everybody else. Nice timing losers. Then there are these anti government ideals. The facts are if you drive a car, shop at grocery stores, have a mortgage, pay power, heat, and water bills or have a job you're already woven into the fabric of society and fully entrenched under government control. Now these obsequious sycophants decide to take a stand when it throws everyone else under the bus and doesn't do anything but keep us mired in this pandemic even longer. The self centered stupidity is really on another level now.
  20. Los Angeles when Gretzky came I believe.
  21. If the Canucks win you're getting a habs logo shaved into your head?
  22. I've always like the Senators since they came in the league. I remember getting a hoodie on sale because the crest wasn't centered. Wore that thing everyday for years. Not sure where it ended up. I also respect the fans in Nashville who made that one successful franchise that people doubted from inception. I didn't mind the Jets when they got their franchise back but damn they're too good now. I've also like Detroit for years and years now. Model franchise, 25 playoff appearances in a row. Sorry Alf, I'm only half a man I guess but ... MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
  23. This is the thing thing exactly. These people spew nonsense when they have absolutely nothing on the line. Internet warriors. I'd love to see them writing this garbage on here when they're lying on a hospital bed grasping and gasping for their last breath while they educate the doctors on how to properly treat this insanely difficult problem. These people are absolute scum trying to place themselves as authorities on infectious diseases in a time of crisis. Can they not see how clearly stupid that is?
  24. Well it's pretty simple. You would have to be a moron with limited compassion for others and zero ability to think for yourself.
