  1. Yeah, that would be awesome. I guess it depends on Hronek, maybe he can play the offside on the PP, or even down low. Hughes is definitely good enough to line up anywhere and make an impact. He's good at controlling the puck on either side too. Miller Boeser Petey Hronek Hughes That's a lot of firepower lol
  2. We will have options. We can always pull Brock off and play with two D as well. Love that we finally have a guy that knows how to shoot the puck. Petey is good but his shot selection is still horrible.
  3. Brock is a hell of a player. Like him a lot. I've watched most of their games. Your assessment is pure garbage. Bo is doing exactly what he was brought in to do. Win hockey games. You sound like like an 11 year old who had her favorite toy stolen at lunch hour and is telling everyone she didn't like it anyway. Pathetic, move on man. I thought you were a Canucks fan. Bo is over there, Hronek is over here. Focus! Not to mention the sample size is sh!t. I can actually understand these comments from big Miller supporters venting because of the slack Miller gets but this is just gross. Attacking a guy like Bo is low, really low after what he gave to this franchise.
  4. I'm not absolutely hellbent either way. I just want the best player we can find. Both Center and RD are critical needs for us. I agree on Moore too. I also agree with @Smashian Kassianthough I think you'll see Reinbacher rise quite a bit. Tough call I'm crossing my fingers. We need this one whichever way they go. If Allvin can hold onto this pick for a couple months. I know it'll be tough.
  5. I'm still sticking with 8-9 I think. Who are we taking with the Iles .. ah screw it. I think I would take Reinbacher if he was still there, otherwise Dvorsky, Smith, Leonard. I even like Jager a lot but that may be a reach.
  6. We'll see. Their next moves, or non-moves are crucial.
  7. People always talk about BPA and that you get the best player you can. If need be that you use that as currency for what you need. Fine, only problem is we never did that. We should have traded guys like Virtanen, Hoglander, Pods, Boeser or whomever, for RD prospects. I'm a firm believer that you should strive to have prospects in all the valuable positions, RD, C, LD, and always have a goalie. If you don't you need to acquire them and/or don't give up your top picks unless you're currently a top 10 team in the league. In addition, a team should have even more than 1 prospect in each position unless once again you're a top team in the NHL. We are sorely lacking in the prospect department with a lot of eye candy but not much in terms of blue chip prospects. It's going to be a tough go for this group. A lot fo things need to go our way. Godspeed and god luck Allvin and chipfolks!
  8. Very well said. I agree this would/should be the perfect time to retool/acquire picks and bottom out while the inefficient cap clears itself off the roster. As such management has set itself a near impossible task with all the high money signings they have made. With Miller, Boeser, Kuz, Mik, and Hronek that's nearly $30 in cap they have committed too. It will be the most likely culprit to our undoing. It's going to be nearly impossible to add pieces to this next to last place group of misfits. Namely 4 more defenceman. Yeah, totally unfair and head in the sand thinking to compare our situations to Vegas or Seattle. This summer is going to tell us a lot. If they can't clear the likes of Boeser and Garland/Myers through hockey trades it's going to be a lot of pain or trading away all of our draft capital to ice what may only be a middling team at best. I will also admit I like some of the moves they have made. Definitely way better than Benning at identifying and bringing in some fringe players who have upside. Will it be enough ... sure doesn't look like it will unfortunately.
  9. Exactly, why would he need to justify himself to some useless no account parasite puke?
  10. Liking Biakabutuka. 15 goals, DRIVEN, 6'4" 203 lbs. Already attended camps and offered a contract. Sign me up!
  11. "I'm not sure if that's a playoff roster to be honest." It's not, it's a bottom 10 team.
  12. Kuz has been better but still not good enough. As you say your top 6 needs to be solid at 2 way play. You can hide one, maybe even two defensively suspect players but not 3 or 4. That's just a recipe for disaster ... or the 23/24 Canucks.
  13. Yup. Guys that are that weak defensively are going to get you burned every time. Add Miller, and Kuzmenko/Garland ... you're dead in the water before the puck even drops.
  14. I'm not so sure. This team has a lot of maturing yet to do. They could be not bad or fall flat on their face again. I would have to agree. This is currently still a poorly constructed and woefully bad defensively hockey team. I'll believe it when I see it.
  15. Exactly, the chances of us making the playoffs next year is roughly 1%. It's a horrendously poor team with negative space. How on earth will we get any better. Allvin has an insanely ardous task ahead. Nearly impossible really. The year after maybe they get some cap relief.
  16. Johansson looks decent. He and DPetey are the only defence of note they brought in. It's better than nothing but certainly not strong.
  17. I think you're dreaming. All of the sudden we're a good team? How on earth is that supposed to happen, magic? Good grief Charlie Brown.
  18. Yeah, well at least now it's guaranteed. We're an awful bottom 6 team with the worst cap situation in the league and next to 0 prospects in the pipeline. Put a fork in us and set the alarm for 2030.
