  1. Not sure but he definitely looks a few throttles below his usual self. It seems like he’s way too predictable and tries too much with to no avail. He’ll be back to normal soon enough though.
  2. ahh. I thought he was briefly the captain before he got traded
  3. If you’re purely basing this on statistics, I don’t think you’ll ever see anyone ever again put up the same numbers as 99 or 66. Even getting near those numbers is not possible in this era of hockey. It might be cliche but its true. Defenders are bigger, stronger and faster than the defenders of that era. Goalies are more well equipped and most are more athletic compared to those days as well. I do believe that talent wise, there are players that can get close to Gretzky and Lemieux’s level. McDavid’s certainly the fastest player I’ve ever seen play the game and he is one of the most dynamic ever. Not to mention he’s only still just turned 24 and his prime years are ahead. I hate “GOAT” talk because you simply can’t compare the eras. The game has changed a LOT since then. I think its far more reasonable to talk about the greatest player in each era or generation.
  4. The drastic change in tone from last night’s to tonight’s PGT is astounding. What a difference ONE game makes.
  5. Not related to Kane but woah. 50%?! Yet their homeless problem gets worse and worse every day and people are fleeing California. How is that state even operating? Pretty ridiculous.
  6. Well, wasn't he the Captain in Ottawa too? There's obviously something there that the rest of us don't see.
  7. True. To each their own. I've just always been a fan of the purple and gold colour scheme and being originally from LA and it's history with the Lakers as well, I felt the colors represented the city well. The design and the logo also both look really clean to me. Just like how I think the blue and green fits Vancouver perfectly. I think ours is alright but I would've preferred some type of fusion with the skate logo on the jersey instead. It could've been a pretty cool nod to both the Linden era and the WCE era. Cheers.
  8. Colorado, LA, Oilers (hate to say it, but they look clean), and Pittsburgh are the best looking for me. Ours is mediocre at best.
  9. This is what having a fall offseason does to us. Hockey couldn't need to come back sooner.
  10. Correct decision made. His draft status has been renounced. He needs to pay the consequences for being such a terrible human being.
  11. Meh. Looks more like All-Star jerseys than regular team jerseys. Not a huge fan of the neon
  12. For it or against it, our drama teacher blackface PM won't allow it.
  13. We are nearly at half a decade of lamenting this signing now. At least we are starting to slightly see the light at the end of the tunnel. Worst signing in Canucks history? Top 3? Top 5? What do y'all think?
  14. Definitely seems like a great vocal leader. He was part of the leadership core in Vegas and it shows why. I think he might potentially replace Tanev and wear an "A" for this team.
  15. I agree. I think he's still considering more trade options. Watching this unfold, I think it was likely that Benning knew that Pietrangelo would sign with Vegas and would need to ship out a contract. After Pietrangelo got signed today is when he went for in for the strike as Vegas was likely desperate to move out money and was able to fleece them. In which case, it was a very calculated and intelligent move and he deserves major kudos.
  16. Happy Thanksgiving indeed Maybe Benning was holding off until today on purpose? Hmm Great news!
  17. 8.8 x 7. lol. *&%$ that. Make sure you get your money's worth Vegas.
  18. Patrick Kane had his best season at age 30 with 110 points. More than any point totals that he got in a season during his early to mid-twenties. Age 31 this season, he had 84 points in 70 games.. still way over a ppg. Toffoli will only be a year older than that when his contract ends at 32 at a friendly cap hit of 4.25 mill and will likely be a top six forward for the duration of that contract (especially in Montreal)..... What's all the doom and gloom?
