  1. I remember he had a 30 goal season with the caps once which was pretty amazing. Hope has has a good retirement.
  2. Wow. What a game. There’s something about this team that I couldn’t even see with the 2011 team and that is the resiliency throughout the playoffs. I think that being able to adjust to mistakes and getting the job finished is being carved out as a valuable defining trait to this core. Go Canucks!
  3. Regardless to what anyone else says, I still think the 5 day rest for the Knights benefitted them greatly in the first game. VGK play a completely different style from both the Blues and Wild so the team just needs to adjust their gameplan. Hopefully the guys learned what they need to do better for tomorrow! Im expecting a bounce back performance from our team Go Canucks!
  4. I'd be all over Domi for Virtanen (even though Virt probably wouldn't be enough to snag him). He's got some bite to his game and he can actually fight. Reuniting him with Bo might give him a spark. I think Domi and Bo could recreate some of that magic from junior. Not to mention they're best friends. Just my wishful thinking though.
  5. What a display from Vegas. I hope the Canucks win the next one, but man I cannot find any flaws on this Knights team. Speed, size, skill, depth. They’re like the fully evolved version of what the Canucks team is trying to be. It is great experience but I fully expect Vegas to win the series. I hope I’m wrong.
  6. I think Knights or Canucks in 7. If the Canucks advance then I think this will be the most difficult series. Yes, even more than potentially a Colorado. The Knights look like they are in another class right now
  7. Yeah, that's fair. I guess there is just a generational gap there between fans. For me, the fondest memory was the 2011 run with the Blue and Green (unfortunately with the "Vancouver" stitched onto it). To each their own
  8. I will never understand Canucks fans and their love of these Team Germany jerseys as if its some sacred jersey. Part of the reason the rest of the league ridicules the Canucks and their horrible taste in jerseys. It's not like they even won with them back in 94. To each their own I guess. The blue and green I think is a perfect representation of the pacific northwest and the vibrant beauty of this city. The black jerseys look gross, and that plate of pasta for the logo is the tipping point for its ugliness.
  9. How about just stop. The history of recycled jerseys with this team is ridiculous. This team is finally building somewhat of an identity now with the current jerseys and we don't need to switch it back yet AGAIN.
  10. I refuse to believe St. Louis won the series just because they won this game. It’s 2-2. It’s anyone’s to take. Go Canucks!
  11. It’s not even funny how blatantly predictable the officiating will be when Sutherland is in. People were literally worried about this beforehand and I guess everyone actually had a point.
  12. Typical overreactions. Leave it to CDC to blame the refs and think the entire league is for some reason conspiring against them to lose. No, its really just because this team wasn’t good enough to see it all the way through for the past 50 years. Secondly, this isn’t surprising. The Blues were first in the conference before the pause and defending cup champs. I would be more surprised if we actually went up 3-0. Sooner or later, they were due to win a game. More impressively, the Blues are a high-cailbre team and yet we’re right there with them only losing by a goal. What’s with the shock? We’re still leading 2-1.
  13. They already lost the lottery and they're picking 4th. The 1st overall pick is decided tomorrow between the teams that lost the play in.
  14. Had Detroit or Ottawa won the lottery I would be ecstatic right now. Here's hoping Toronto loses again tomorrow and dont have a first round pick. What a perfect scenario that would be
  15. Thanks Gary. You really fixed the system. Everything's fair when you can potentially have McDavid and Lafreniere on the same team. Detroit and Ottawa say hi.
  16. I disagree. They forced the play but didn’t get enough grade A chances on the inside. Looked boxed out the entire game. Not to mention the bad performances from a lot of the top 6. They looked sloppy and unmotivated as the game went on. In fairness, the Wild’s offence was brutal, but defensively they outclassed us. Like you said though, on to the next one.
