lol @ the fans screaming bloody murder over giving up Madden. If Benning and co. felt he was going to be a valuable player, they wouldn't have parted with him. I REALLY like this trade. It gives us another legit top 6 forward, can be a good compliment to either Bo or Petey's line, and is reunited with Pearson. Can't wait to see how he fits in.

[GDT] Canucks @ Wild, February 6 2020 - 5:00 PM PST
PetterssonOrPeterson replied to therodigy's topic in Canucks Talk
Main problem with this team all season has been the lack of consistency. They'll win 5 or 6 games in a row but then lose the next 4.... this game isn't over but I've noticed that trend a lot throughout the season. It's like the players just decide to take it easy after the winning streaks and not put in as much effort. Such a rookie mentality. Not sure if it's coaching or just because the players are still too young but that's a gaping hole. -
Canucks first and only. I could really care less about what other Canadian team succeeds in or fails. I'm not a fan of those teams during the regular season, why should I fake being a fan of theirs for the playoffs? "Canada's team" stuff is such baloney. Give me a break. The only ones that are truly happy are the actual fans of that team while I would go back to hating them in the upcoming fall.

Irish? soccer fan discovers Ellias Pettersson

I agree. If you can find a way to make some sort of income or following by literally sitting down and reacting to other videos.... they're doing something right -
[Proposal] Sending Boeser Home

LOL. A few days in of the break and people are already starting to get bored. -
Would you like to see Kesler in the Ring of Honour?
PetterssonOrPeterson replied to iBlueGreen's topic in Canucks Talk
I still remember the Kes that singlehandedly won us that 2011 series vs Nashville. That was the stuff of legend. Not to mention, he was a key part of our core for many years. He gets my vote. -
If the cup is the goal, then I believe this year is pretty unrealistic. Most of our core haven't even experienced a single playoff game yet and throughout the season have shown swings of both great play and terrible play. I like Green as the coach... at least for this season.. and hopefully we make it into the playoffs for experience.

[Report] Zack Kassian suspended 2 games
PetterssonOrPeterson replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
People can hate on Tkachuk all they want but he's a master at this type of thing. He knows who he's hitting and exactly what type of response he's going to get from a guy like Kassian It was hilarious when Kassian was just pummelling him and he just skates away later like its nothing. He wanted that to happen. He gets his team the advantage and they win the game. That's one type of player that you hate to play against but would absolutely love on your team -
Pekka Rinne scores goal

He's still playing? -
lol. Those difference makers on LA that you talk about weren't built in the regular season. Playoff experience is needed for a core to develop and learn in a pressure environment. You talk about a player's "will" but that's purely subjective. What's to say Boeser can't be the guy in a few years to score the stanley cup winning goal? Maybe even Gaudette being a playoff hero? How many times did the Sedins, Kesler and Burrows fail before making it to the final in 2011? Considering that most of the canucks new core haven't played a single playoff game as of yet it's premature to judge whether they can or cannot handle the playoffs (that's including Petey and Hughes).

Hoglander reminds me of Marchand without the cheapshots, rat face, and slewfooting
