  1. And the investigations being. Notice this: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/rupinder-navdeep-batth-licences-suspended-1.5900346 Also https://bc.ctvnews.ca/5-people-from-b-c-and-yukon-charged-in-immigration-fraud-investigation-cbsa-says-1.5206320 And finally https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/cbsa-immigration-businessmen-charged-1.5753140
  2. This garbage is still going on today with no recourse I know of many people who have reported these companies and no one does a thing!
  3. Absolute shame that this is being tolerated allowing the exploitation of poor working immigrants in hopes of providing a better future for their families and children and in return they get slaved working for what in most cases comes out to nearly half of minimum wage, and when they complain they're let go without getting all or even any of the pay they worked hard for over the months. I know of many cases where these immigrants took on massive debt for the job and then at the end couldn't even buy bread to feed their children. Trucking companies need to be put on notice for this.
  4. It's a shame that this is happening as some of the people that are applying for these jobs are being absolutely destroyed in terms of working slave hours and putting up every penny their family has in order to work and some don't even get paid. A few West Abbotsford based companies (Mt Lehman, Fraser Highway area) are still at it in full force getting LMIA's from immigration consultants and exploiting poor working immigrants not to mention committing massive tax fraud. Wish the CBSA and CRA would do something about it but they need to be exposed also as they just turn a blind eye.
  5. Any updates on this topic? Still going on during covid? I've heard of a few trucking companies in Surrey/Abbotsford who are making $100-$150k annually cash from LMIA scams as of 2019. (Many of which are mentioned in the OP with safety violations, along with others...)
  6. A lot of those trucking companies mentioned in the original post are hiring foreign workers for cash also (West Abbotsford based - the money bought big houses and high end cars - names have already been provided to cbsa as they have a open investigation on it) they are all collecting between 15-20k from foreign workers with the help of scam artist immigration service consultants such as "Ravinder Randhawa Immigration Services". The immigration consultant will collect cash from the workers and either put them behind rigs, or put them on the books and collect the cash back from their pay checks while they work elsewhere for cash. This needs to be stopped as it is highly dangerous for people on the road and a tax evasion scam!
