  1. Not so Much missing as we don’t have anyone right now to fill those roles which is scary heading into the season.
  2. Sure but show an inkling of energy out there. Going through the motions isn’t good way to set yourself up for the season.
  3. Yes but good habits should start now. Starting the year with bad habits is a terrible idea.
  4. These have been pretty bad home games so far. I know we have some of our team missing but it’s not like the kraken are an elite team. Really who has shown up out of the veterans in the lineup?
  5. Ya. It’s not great but we have also had no one show up offensively. I have watched a lot of other preseason games and other teams haven’t struggled to score as bad as we have.
  6. We are still missing a true power forward on this team. Have we had any chances to score this period?
  7. For all the talk about the hard camp that Green runs. Why does our team always look like the slower team on the ice? Is it a conditioning problem? Also I really hope that Rogers arena is a tough place to play in history it seems like Canuck teams have always struggled to make it a tough place to play.
  8. He has also chosen to wear number 82.
  9. Garland-8, Podkolzin-82, and Dickinson-18. Surprising Podkolzin went with 82 over 92. Any other numbers to add?
  10. That’s what I mean. I don’t feel we have a player that keeps the other team honest. It allows other teams to take liberties with our players.
  11. I am a little worried our team is too small and will be pushed around. I really hope not but it would have been nice to add someone like a Ritchie. He’s gone to Toronto. Any thoughts on this. I know Podkolzin has size but he is a rookie. I am not sure what Dickinson is like and if he possesses some toughness. I am not talking about fighting but just the ability to not be thrown around when it gets physical.
  12. He had all the tools just didn’t have the tool box. Given chance after chance. He was very slow to learn. Too bad, he had dominant games, he just couldn’t figure things out on and off the ice. Hopefully he grows and becomes a serviceable nhl player somewhere else.

  14. Right, with his pedigree. 7 years and counting. We actually are looked at by other organizations as a laughing stock because of the amount of disfunction that has happened. Why do you think the Sedins were brought on now at this point. They could feel the heat and needed to do something to calm the fans down. It’s not good when players are wanting to leave an organization without a good reason. Schmidt had great ice time and was being given a lot of opportunities. The writing is on the wall. They aren’t anywhere close to competing for a cup which is disappointing after 7 years. They have so many holes in the bottom half of their lineup. It’s impossible to fill all the teams needs by next season. You have to be realistic.
  15. It’s a little frustrating to see where this franchise is at and all the pieces it is still missing and then realize we don’t have the assets to make impact trades. This franchise should at least have assets to make deals for players like a Seth Jones, yet this team isn’t even mentioned. That happens at every free agency and trade deadline. It’s just another example of how this franchise has not been set up to get better or to improve. There is very little in the prospect cupboard as of right now which is alarming at this point. It would just be nice to at least be in that conversation. Hearing Schmidt wants out just goes to show there is something wrong with this organization.
  16. Communicating to fans about the direction of the team is also important which they have been terrible at as well.
  17. Part of being a gm is making decisions. It’s pretty sad if this was the case considering he got a vote of confidence going forward.
  18. After a season like the one this team had and the way that the organization as a whole has been run, it is very fair to be upset and worried about the direction of the team going forward. The truth is they really screwed up in an area that should have been one of the easiest to navigate which was communication. Now this organization has a reputation of being terrible at communicating. It maybe a big reason we lose key peices. Sometimes people have a hard time hearing that this organization is in a bit of a home. What makes them think Benning can climb them out of it? 7 years and stories after stories have came out. Integrity would be at the top of my list if I was running a business and at times there was none.
  19. I don’t get why they are having a hard time bringing back Ian Clark? Does this not say something when again we have a big problem retaining people in the organization that are currently part of the organization. If he walks it just looks so bad. I just don’t get how nothing changes and letting people walk are smart moves. Makes no sense.
  20. Does anyone realize the problems that come with bringing him back? What players are going to want to sign with this team when communication problems are a huge issue. It’s going to be really hard going forward trying to convince any quality free agents to come here after all the issues there have been with communicating with players that fans loved and are now gone. It just screams saving money as the main reason for bringing him back. Apathy is setting in. I really don’t get how this can be turned around by someone who is so short sighted.
  21. I just want to see a strong voice at the top who doesn’t always look scared in interviews. I feel like how he presents is the same way he deals with signings and negotiations. Not good.
