So, it was the biggest reason we were in this game. Imagine having Martin or Delia in net. It wouldn't have even been close. It just goes to show how much more work this roster needs on it. Some have said they think the Canucks are close.

Some stronger, bigger forwards with some tenacity are needed. They are both redundant. This team needs to be feared to play against. At times, I feel like teams just don't fear our lineup. I would love there to be a tougher element added throughout the lineup.

Well they played a lot in their own end so its hard to score or get shots when your playing in your own zone a ton. The d has to be able to move the puck out.

Yes but compare that to Boston, Tampa, Colorado etc. and their lineup keeps going with amazing players. You look at their lineups and they have lines that keep going filled with great players. We do not have an abundance of players like they do scattered throughout our lineup. That's what we want to get to. I am sorry we aren't there yet.

I just love the fact that it seems that the organization is never satisfied. I love that Rutherford said they need to continue to get better and that they are taking what they are seeing in stride. I just think they know that the defense still needs major work. Everyone says everyone needs to get better and work harder which I agree. It seems everyone is holding each other accountable. It will be interesting to see what they do with players that don't come into camp in shape. Hopefully there is none.

After listening to Tochett and his expectations of having the club be in the best shape and that every player has to work harder in the offseason as well as seeing Hronek and knowing the expectation is continue to get better by the organization, I am trying to just take the season as it is. Nothing you can do but I have high expectations about the continued work on the defense. It has to continue to be worked on in the summer and I think it will. I have cautious optimism but again the start of the season is huge next year.

Yes. It will be exciting to see what they do with the defense in the offseason and the improvements they are going to make. I think the are doing a pretty good job of identifying players that are on teams that need to be put into better roles than the ones they have currently with their teams.

Yes the reffing wasn't great but we were lucky to have tied the game. A lot of bad defensive plays tonight. People are so upset but we aren't in the race anyways so it really doesn't hurt the team. Does it suck? Yes, of course but thank goodness Demko is back in old form. The score could have been ugly.

The point is that this team still needs a lot of work and they were lucky to get a point tonight. So be happy for that.

No but come on they were badly outplayed and gave a ton of shots that Demko had to make crazy saves on. Is this really a playoff team next year the way its built? They still have to make a number of changes to get better.
