[Waivers] Shayne Gostisbehere, Nick Holden, Liam O’Brien

I'd give him a shot. Virtanen and Benn for Ghost and a 3rd -
This doesn't solve any of TB's cap issues as they would need to resign Hughes. He will command anywhere between 7 and 10 million as speculated in the media. They remove 10 million just to replace with 10 million. TB would probably rather keep the players they have and offer incentive to Seattle to take Johnson off their hands
-
Not fully sure how that works, probably the latter. But unless Auto releases him he is still under contract until end of March or April, don't remember
-
Because we missed the rfa signing deadline we cannot sign until July 1st, or whenever FA opens
-
Not only should Demko be in the conversation for Vezina, he should be in the conversation for Hart, especially if we pull of the miracle and make the playoffs. Unbelievable determination in this kid, love watching him play

Might not have been Skinner that said it and maybe this Twitter dude, but TSN sure made it sound like Skinner had said it -

We know what we have in Juolevi, so far on the PK Canucks have not seen a goal scored against with him on the ice... My info may be wrong here, but he needs his chance to play. Greener was supposed to be a players coach, willing to teach and let players learn. Guess that only counts if your Hughes. Dude can make how many bone head plays and still get 22 mins a night. Yeah offense blah blah... Juolevi makes a couple mistakes and he's just not ready, back to the press box. Like Jeff Skinner said, can't learn much from the press box, already know how hockey is played... -

Team loses Benning and Greener SUCK! -
ATO time in Utica

I wonder if Green even knows what he wants on the defensive side of the puck. Team seems rather lost back there since Green took charge. Yes Bammer is the D coach, but Green still okays all the decisions...

I believe LeBrun also said Calgary checked in and it was Bennett and a 2nd and Calgary said no. Not sure LeBrun knows anything these days. I wouldn't give up much more than Virtanen and a 2nd myself. Maybe throw in a B prospect. I like the player, but if the cost is high I don't like him that much
-
Cost to acquire. Most likely Anaheim will want a 1st +. We are on the wrong side of the standings to be buying players this season. Another player we have to protect for the expansion draft
-
Could be, yes, because there are many factors that play into ones performance. I also do believe that Rackell and Podz will be better on the team than our current right side. Currently our right side is Boeser, Hogs (out of position) Virtanen and Hawryluk. Boeser, Rackell, Podz looks like a better top 9 if they all play to their potential... I didn't realize a discussion was to convince you. Always thought it was to discuss the pros and cons? Maybe this is why I was never on the debate team... I think he makes the team better and would compliment out top 6 nicely. Though I would like the Big, Fast, Mean winger you mentioned earlier, where are they? When do they ever become available to trade for, or in FA? Cost would be more than we can afford in our cap crunch... Virtanen was supposed to be this, instead he just seems to be collecting a pay check most nights
-
Honestly do, what we have right now isn't great. Lind might not be an upgrade over what we currently have but Rackell and Podkolzin will be
-
I agree Podkolzin will be great in a Canucks jersey. But next year we could have 3 great lines depending on how you want to utilize players. Miller looks great up the middle, could have a top 9 of Hog Petey Rackell - the swede line Pearson Horvat Podkolzin Lind Miller Boeser Some semblance of those guys mixed in the top 9, looks better than right now
-
Obviously everyone is going to have differences in how they would assemble a roster. Your big, mean, fast and skilled guy would be priority for a lot of rosters. Unfortunately there aren't many of those players around. I'd be happy with speed and skill throughout the line up with good positional play and high IQ. Rackell fits that
-
Jim is a little underwhelming in his build. I get the idea of what he wanted to do, but his execution has been poor at best. Signing Vet's for too long, and as many have pointed out too fracking much $ Scoring touch, defensively responsible. The missing top 6 RW we don't currently have Miller Petey Brock Hog Bo Rackell Lots of potential in that top 6
-
Good vision, 2 way player to complement Bo, decent stick skills and a good shot. Never played a full 82 games, but his lowest total was 69 in a full season. Regular producer of 40+ points
-
Just for discussion sake as TSN has put Rakell up on the trade board, what do you think it would take to land him. 2 time 30 goal score, fallen off these last couple seasons (bad Anaheim team), could be a good fit for our top 6. 1 more year at a reasonable cap hit just under 3.8M, 27 years old. Could look good on the RW with Bo and Hog on the other side. Yes I know Podz is coming, but I think the add would give us a pretty good right side next season Virtanen, insert prospect and 2nd? More, less. Is he worth it?
