Have you looked at the numbers, Miller did not drive the line when he played center, his corsi was actually the lowest it has been in a Canucks uniform... Look at any time Miller has played away for Petey and you'll see a pattern. Petey drives the line... Miller as 3C is a terrible idea if he's not playing with someone that can control the play. I don't know how many times I have seen Miller throw a cross ice pass at the oppositions blue line just to get picked off and send the other team in on an odd man rush... Miller is frustrating as hell to watch, sometimes with, but mostly without Petey. Lets just keep Miller 1LW

I am glad and proud to be Canadian, we may have started slow with our vaccines, but for the most part Canadians are crushing Covid by rolling up their sleeves. It is truly unfortunate all this is going on around the world, my comment wasn't meant in any way to offend, and truly sorry if it came across that way to anyone. It just feels like our government feels the need to make it's own rules and though I don't know a ton about US politics, I do know that may new outlets are comparing our new found approach to that of Texas. I have heard many of the conspiracies and cannot fathom how people think there is any kind of truth to them... I am sad to hear the state of your hospitals, like many countries around the world, it really is saddening. Losing a loved one is never easy, I cannot imagine losing one under these circumstances. -

Alberta hasn't had any real restrictions since July 1, we held the stampede, we hosted over 500,000 people and cases did not rise, nor did hospitalizations or deaths. Although I am still on the fence with this approach I did read what our head medical had to say and there are some valid points. Covid will not go away, it is a virus and as such is part of society now. We need to learn to live with it as such -

Our chief medical officer said with the majority of people vaccinated we now need to learn to live with this in society, we cannot stay locked down forever as it is not good for peoples health for many other reasons... I mean she has a point, I'm just undecided how I feel about it all. I have had Covid, don't wish it on anyone, I have also been fully vaccinated. So am I concerned, IDK, time will tell I guess -

Alberta will be 100 percent. We are removing all Covid related government mandates August 16th. No longer have to quarantine when you have covid... We'll see how this goes lol -

(Rumour) Canucks concerned about a Pettersson offer sheet

You're correct, they did change that rule during the memorandum of understanding while negotiating the new cba just before the playoff bubble -

They qualified him last week, they have his rights until his 27th birthday if he for some reason decided to go back and play in Sweden... That said Canucks kind of hold all the power in the negotiation as Petey is not Arb eligible. He should receive an offer in and around what Barzal signed with NYI. 3 @ 7 with the final year being 9M+ in actual cash so his next qualifying offer would be over 9M... -
Conditional on Games played. 2023 3rd rounder increases to a 1st if Eichel does not play 82 games over 2 seasons
-
This does a bit of both I think. I personally am not a huge fan of Eichel, over rated IMO
-
To Calgary: Eichel and Skinner with 20% retained (1.8M) To Buffalo: Monahan, Johnny hockey, Connor Zary, Dustin Wolf and an Unprotected 2022 first, 2023 2nd, 2022 5th Both teams need to do something, in Calgary they seem to think they can keep winning with their core, but they cannot. Buffalo needs to rebuild their rebuild so they get Zary, Wolf and a 1st, 2nd & 5th plus 2 players to replace Eichel and Skinner Treliving needs to do something, his core just isn't enough to get Calgary into the playoffs IMO Thoughts?

(Rumour) Canucks concerned about a Pettersson offer sheet
CR7 replied to cuporbust's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
If the kid is willing to sign an offer sheet it's probably only for a couple reasons. 1 he wants to force the Canucks hand and get the deal he really wants or 2 he really doesn't want to be here. Hope for 1 but if it's 2 let him go for those 4 1st round picks -
I honestly know nothing other than he was one of Switzerlands better players at wjc a few years back 2015 or 2016
-
Sign this guy. 14G 13A in 55GP. Not to bad for a rookie
-
Quick feet, not a speedster but can beat you with nice edge work, great lateral ability. High compete level, decent IQ. In any other draft year this dude would be 3rd/4th rounder. Needs to fill out a little, but as one of the youngest player in the draft his up side is huge. Think Motte with better offensive ability and unbelievable passing
-
This is probably my favorite pick of the draft. 3 to 4 years away but kid will be an NHL player for sure!

Only 2 of the mentioned players above are actual Canucks draft picks... Demko and Hoglander are the latest 2nd rounder to make it, but for some that's just not good enough I guess... -
No idea, but last 1st round goalie he drafted has won back to back cups
-
Just to select the second best goalie in the draft... Yzerman must know something about first round goalies all these scouts/pundits don't lol. Couple years and we'll see I guess
