  1. That Roussel goal is gonna sting the wild fans, they have him down as nothing more that an agitator who cannot play. Can see the whining on HF boards already
  2. Tbh I was watching The game and because of where the contact was and that it happened so quick it just looked like he was milking it for a whistle. There is no way from the bench they would have seen that. When they showed the replay on the screen you could see it was a head issue but it looked so innocuous
  3. Don’t get me wrong, it’s packed full of culture and history and I regularly stop over in it, I have family in south of France and regularly take the train through Paris so will normally stop a day or two on the way down or back. but it really does stink :p
  4. Paris just smell like piss alsontravels a bit and I agree nothing beats BC - maybe just maybe NZ bit even then it’s a close one
  5. We don’t need to throw more checks, we need someone to hit/crash the net, so we can screen and get tips and redirects, especially if we are firing it from the point. we won but the game was very scrappy, we weren’t dominant and were pretty rubbish at gaining the zone
  6. Disagree - the early goal helped but we didn’t play by on great, it was only when we went a few up and they had to open up we started to look better. we need to hit the net more, hold it in the zone better and enter the zone better. We started in the 3rd period to clear the slot and stop allowing someone free in on markstrom. Positive is we won and showed more intensity. More of the same game style is relying on individual skills and not team
  7. Nah if we crash out and get no1 you take Laffy - he can score goals but he is the ultimate assist machine and has unreal hockey vision. Him feeding Peterson would be amazing. Plus you get 3 years of ELC so will be a massive help cap wise and create a window to win now, that will stay open for a while. You can then trade a few of the other players which we would keep otherwise to fill the defence holes
  8. Same here it’s a 7:30pm start normally a 3:30am start. This is an luxury for me as well
  9. It’s great to be able to watch a Canucks game at a normal time and not early hours of the morning
  10. I think this latest setback shows that the keep on trying is risking is health. Someone like ferland will always push to come back and play, he is that type of person. At the stage it’s at now someone needs to sit down and tell him no more. Give him the time to process that rather than stringing him along with hope
  11. I agree our defence isn’t the greatest, but I think a lot of that is also the defensive system, if you coach okay players to keep it tight they can do a job, especially if the forwards so their defensive duties
  12. Hense the small clear out. Ferland is likely to come off the roster, stetcher goes, trade/let a couple of the older forward corp go (I’ve not thought about details) but having a blue line consisting of hughes barrie myers tryamkin (if we can find the space for him and can reach a deal for him to come over at the end of the KHL season) Rathbone Rafferty Is not to bad (light on experiance) but potentially affordable as well
  13. I hope this happens with Ferland. At this post health is a priority and not having speculation of will he won’t he be back. canucks should do the right thing and tell him for his own sake it’s done, it’s not worth any further damage. a job in the organisation is the least we can do for him
  14. 19:30 face of for me tomorrow - might be able to get some sleep after a nucks game then friday 3:45 am again - going to be brutal again - yet to sleep after game 2
  15. Depending on when/if the next season starts, do people foresee a case where we do a small clearout and bring in Barrie
  16. I think we have come to rely on him to much (Because our defensive system) so when he performs just okay It looks bad. I don’t think his play has been stellar but tonight’s performance was just that - okay, not drop worthy
  17. He did well tonight just didn’t get much ice time (or felt like he didn’t)
  18. The first one could have done better, the second was unstoppable, third one could have been better positioned (To give himself a chance)but was still a good shot now is not the time to drop him, even if he’s not been lights out
  19. I think Gaudette might be the expendable one at the end of the season
  20. I think so to. hopefully a bit of rejigging and some more ice time for Virtanen. Didnt feel like he got much Time tonight
