  1. You watching the same game? They have yet to get a play set up in the offensive zone, it’s scrappy, they are struggling to make zone entries and when they do it’s a shot from the perimeter with no one at the net again
  2. Painful- and when we do gain the zone cannot even keep it in unchallenged on the blue line
  3. Why oh why do we leave players standing in the slot against us without a marker.
  4. Zone entry is awful, drop passes to nowhere. Shooting from the edge, someone get to the net!
  5. I’m in the UK. Also have a young child in the house so as the game ends he probably will be getting up - I’m grabbing a few hours now and then surviving tomorrow on coffee
  6. He didn’t say stecher was good, just that offence was the issue and that juolevi isn’t the answer for that
  7. It’s 3:45 am start for me over here! the morning game on Thursday for you guys is a 7:30pm start for me
  8. You get experience as a by product of competing, you don't go with the goal of experience. You also need to build on a team. A team can be a bubble team and get into the playoffs as the last seed for years, gain a ton of experience but never progress. Because the management don't invest in the right players, make the right decsiions, and just are happy to be there. To win you need a winning mentality that permeates through the club
  9. Experience is an overrated thing. It’s important but some people on these forums seem to hold it to this mythical status that somehow having post season experiance means played just magically become winners. you need to create a winning mentality and from that you gain experience and learn where you fell short. Going in to ‘just get experience’ doesn’t create this, nor is it an attitude of a winning team or one that wants to win
  10. I know, I was being a bit facetious with that comment. I was surprised virtanen went as high as he did, and thought we would have gone with ehlers. Virtanens write up was good body good speed, probably best shot in the draft but lower hockey IQ and vision, could be a draft bust due to not having best hockey or positional sense. we tried the same project with trading for Kassian. However it’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation, fans and pundits have been saying we need to get bigger especially at that time and not keep going for skill without The size to utilise it in the NHL, but in doing so we did pass over some very skilled players that would/could have been useful to us.
  11. Anyway to dump them both along with Eriksson maybe clear of few others At D out as well to create space and look to get Hart, Work a deal with Tryamkin to return at the end of the KHL season (looked like they both want a deal row work so make it happen) bring rathbone up. If Virtanen is in the dog house and green is staying ship him out as a way of getting some decent D back as well. tbh all that is fantasy hockey and not going to happen. i think though that if we lose and we win the lottery (doubtful) then it may be a case of clearing out some of the older and filler players getting a tad bit younger with a view of being a very strong team in a couple of seasons and having cap space to leverage trades because of Seattle. If we lose and don’t win the lottery i hope we still look to promote some of the D prospects we have and make a decision on Marky/Demko - we don’t want a situation like Schneider/Luongo where we have a lot of cap tied up in goal and ultimately end up with neither when we could ship one out earlier to allow the team to be better overall. if we win - things get a little more complicated. I think because of cap constraints we will be forced to trade, let walk a few of the older players even if it means a slight hit in next seasons overall performance, but should in the long term make us more competitive
  12. You are a Canucks fan misery is part of the role. hell im from UK and support Newcastle United in football as well! Talk about asking for misery
  13. We need more than that. We need a game2 like the Jets had. Not just scrape a win but put down a marker and sow a dead of doubt in the wilds mind. (Flames 2 goals were both a bit fluky)
  14. Not sure who reffed flyers vs Bruin’s but seemed to let the game flow, some players were getting away with stuff they wouldn’t in season but overall the refs called it when it went a bit to far and made sure it didn’t get silly. overall I think they did a good job with that game
  15. I don’t feel dirty cheering against the oilers. The number of series against the hawks are a long time ago now, plus they were not gooning it up against us, unlike when we faced the ducks and bruins
  16. I think if we can get it to work he will be better than those two especially for us. I think Ehlers is a good player though nothing spectacular but does the job
  17. Just hit google/Reddit on your phone I’m sure someone will have the answer
