It's russia... If a payment was made to terminate a contract there wouldn't be any witnesses. EDIT: Worth noting first post on page 666 Burrows do we really need him 525 pages. WOW

It is interesting to see the amount of NHL regulars hitting the wire this season. 6'4" RW scored 22g in 18/19 makes 2.15M. Owners and GM's clutching their purses tightly this season. If per say the Panthers for instance continue to win and appear in a playoff position down the road. They would theoretically be in a position to load up for the playoffs without spending a single asset.

I voted no. Not because I dont believe in Motte but because I do. I see flashes of Alex Burrows in him. He needs more time honing his craft in the trenches.

I like Tryamkin just fine. Just pointing out the obvious that if he wanted to be playing here he would be. A deal would have been made by now between Avto and the Canucks. He would have signed this offseason. Or years ago never have signed with Avto in the first place. It's weird to me how some people never seem to have gotten over him leaving us.

[Report] Penguins GM Jim Rutherford resigns
Whalespray replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
Not sure if this is legit???? Mike Gillis son apparently leaked MG's pitch for the GM position Follow link for entire document. https://imgur.com/a/Rxx2Hmf -
It stands to reason that if he wanted to be here he would be already.

He chose not to sign with the Canucks already several times. His wife didn't like it here, he didn't like the weed culture of the city, he didn't want to put in the level of commitment and effort to be in the NHL fitness wize, he didn't want to have to earn his minutes over vets annnd he didn't want to watch video of Chris freaking Pronger. If he wanted to return to the Canucks he would have already. 1. You think he will sign with us because of Stockholm syndrome? 2. You're right all of our D have earned their way to the NHL through commitment to the process. As much as I was a fan of Nik for the season he was here. I just don't see how anything has changed where he would sign here if he hasn't already. He seems quite content where he is until the Canucks no longer hold his rights.

Eels preferably shrieking.

I love Schmidtty and I want to see him get his chances to shine. However I think right now especially we need Schmidt logging a butt load of mins even strength.
-
I will personally be shocked if he ever returns to the Canucks.

I don't know if Olli has top 4 in his future but I would like to see him on special teams. He could be fantastic on PP2 he moves the puck really well.

Whalespray replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
he's only .25 more I think we could fit him. Fresh start for both players. -

If he clears I'd take him for Benn. -

Meh Loui was consensus a fantastic signing at the time he had just ripped it up with the Sedins and put up 30+ goals for boston. Hindsight's a biotch. Myers took a discount to come here and is literally the only guy we have that makes the other team keep their head up. Beagle I maintain is a beast for us. even if you don't think so. Roussel is no Burrows/Jarko oops Realistically I aint mad at JB its not his fault we are down to 3 nhl D and Petterson is in a drought. Letting Markstrom and Tanev walk sucks in the short term especially because they are flames now but long term had he made those deals I might be right there with you calling for his head so IMO he is on the right track unfortunately there are going to be ups and downs. -
Petey’s slump. How many more games?
Whalespray replied to Canuckfanforlife82's topic in Canucks Talk
I dunno how much longer but he isn't going to break out of the slump by being a pouty lil lemon sucker. I wonder if something outside of hockey is bothering him because his head just doesn't seem in the game right now. -
Datsyuks legs look really bow legged?

[Proposal] Trade Jake... sign Grabner
Whalespray replied to Provost's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I'm not against trading Jake. I will say however that there are plenty of Mottes out there that won't cost us JV. -
[PTO] Travis Hamonic with Canucks
Whalespray replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
As much as I think Hamonic would be great beside Hughes or Edler I feel his greatest asset would be as training wheels for Juolevi and Wrath Bone -
(Proposal) A trade that might make sense.
Whalespray replied to komodo0921's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I think people are forgetting Gaudette is 24 I think he is a good player and I really like the guy. My issue with him is he isn't offensive enough to be a 2c and isnt defensive enough to be a 3C. I really feel he could shine on the wing where he could more freely move up and down the lineup as needed. -

I think we probably wouldn't have to pay that price for Zemgus Girgensons and IMO would be a better fit pluuuuuuus this.
