  1. Not favored by the coaches? He was named the captain hahahahahaha
  2. I keep trying to predict how the north division will wind up and I just can’t come to a conclusion. The division will be wide open this year. Gonna make for an entertaining season!
  3. Seems like a pretty common trait in most of the guys drafted during Jimbos tenure
  4. I totally agree with this outlook. I’ve been a watcher on this board for a long time, and feel generally as a poster you have a pretty balanced view on things. It’s just annoying to see the constant negativity. I’d rather see overly positive people than constant negativity. Astonishing to me that so many people choose to be negative like that on a consistent basis
  5. I see the fit with Bo as well. I was more thinking he’d be a great guy to have with Petey as he seems to have some great puck retrieval, similar to Burrows with the twins. Just need him to be able to battle on the boards and get the puck to the primary puck handlers, in this case Petey. Don’t necessarily need him to be driving a line. That’s the good thing though, he seems to be a player that you plug in wherever he is needed.
  6. I’ll never understand people who are pessimistic over a sport that’s supposed to provide positive entertainment in our day to day lives. Just seems like a waste of energy to me Especially when you consider that the nucks are on the upswing
  7. It’s crazy to me that people can actually watch the kid play and say that he is disappointing. He plays exactly as advertised and that is the type of player we need playing in our forward group. I see him playing with Petey down the road and being a great compliment to his style of game
  8. No I mean what’s the correlation between Pod and Shirokov? Just seems like a weird comparison. By all accounts Pod has played as advertised. A hard nosed game with some skill to compliment any player he plays with.
  9. Care to elaborate? Don’t really see the similarities between the two
  10. Thought he was the best Russian forward. Noticeably powerful skater, though his top speed has some room for improvement. Once he can get that speed to beat guys consistently on the outside, watch out, cause he definitely isn’t scared to take it hard to the net
  11. I’ve always thought Hamhuis was a good comparable. Hammer was a better defender (though I believe OJ can get there), but they both seem to make the right play majority of the time. Never get any spotlight either
  12. To be honest, I never really liked his rendition of the anthem anyways. What a way to go though lol
  13. Fair points. I just figure that our top guys are gonna continue to get better. Hopeful that guys like OJ can step in and fill the holes. Still plenty of time for Jim to improve the defense, I suppose only time will tell
  14. People need to realize that moving forward, Marky Tanev and Stech were not going to be the keys to our success. Our D-core has needed a serious shakeup for a while now and this is step one
  15. Pushed Vegas to game 7. When it’s all said and done we ended up having a hell of a season. Couldn’t have asked for much more. Future is bright
