  1. No P Comet....no, jimbo Iceman want save you, You have to resign your 3 time mvp Markstom, no brainer, Schmidt was an average player on a very good team...nothing more, being exposed as a Canuck, just like Erricsson, played on the Bruins great team.... the worst part is his signings FA that came from very good teams IE/ Sutter, Erricsson, Schmidt, Beagle, Gagne, Roussel....and thinking they can replicate the same production on the Canucks, that is an obvious huge error on simple thinking Jimbo Yes, agreed Miller was a good trade, but Tampa Bay was trying to get rid of him, he played on the 3rd line, 4 years/5Mil is a fair contract for the points his putting up here, but to throw in a 3rd rounder? why? He was a depreciating asset with Tampa bay, not in their plans. You have to play hardball.....Jimbo is a pushover in every regard! You think Schmidt is an upgrade??? Over Tanev???? You gotta be kidding me, look at his stats, shot blocking...turnovers....yeah i like his first pass....but i like stetchers first pass....his no Tanev, by any means....look at Hughes.... a lot of his mistakes last year were erased by Markstrom and Tanev. I agree with you with the prospect pool and the young talent he gets 5 stars but the main reason we are in this predicament is Jimbo, as they say about the Canucks "We knew who they were" Markstrom the eraser, another thing, the Canucks dont make the playoffs if this was a normal season last year....Covid comith and taketh....i appreciate your opinion Comet!
  2. I am pulling my hairs out!!! I predicted this but i cant believe Jimbo!! I ask you to make some simple choices as astute hockey fans!! 1) Schmidt 5.5 million/5 years, Holtby 4mil/2 years vs Tanev 4.5mil/5 Years, Markstrom 6 mil/6 years, Biegel 3.5 mil/4 years,, Roussel 3.5 mil/4 years, Sutter the franchise player 4.5 mil/5 years, Myers 6mil/6 years, i want even count Erricsson because that's just ridiculous vs Tanev, Markstrom Go back to Sutter, he traded Boninoooooo Boninoooooo 1.8 mil/2 years remaining vs Sutter "the franchise player" 4.5 mil/5 years. I say Stetcher provides the same thing as Schmidt no difference none ZERO. Stetcher 1.8 mil/2 years vs Smidt 5.5 million/5 years, ask me if Schmidt is worth the term and contract?! Heck NO!!!!!!! I am sorry i don't see the difference between him and Stetcher. My opinion i see Markstrom having hatred for this organization, he single handedly won 30 games over 4 years, was the team MVP 3 years, carrying Jimbo and his incredible terrible cap Management on his back. Markstom erased all Jimbo Jones GM errors, don't you thinks Jimbo should have been rewarded him??? He valued his own MVP Allstar goal tender much much less then every free agent he signed, thats why Markstom, Tanev, Toffoli will and have given a 1 finger salute to Jimbo and the Canucks!!! If you forget about Jimbos cap management and just simply look at his professional talent evaluation and every trade Jimbo has made hehad to throw in sweeteners to cap tied teams that should have given us a 1st rounder for taking on Schmidts contract, nope, not in Jimbo land....in Jimbo's playland every one gets drafts pics and $$$$$$$ ...and you get a 1st rounder...and .you too get a 2nd rounder.....you alllll get draft pickssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss$$$$$$$$$$$!!!! Thats the Jimbo way....Jimbo man can .....the candy man can....When Jimbo man can is making deals there is always skittles and rainbows......and suffering in Nuckland. In the end, i always blame Vanderlinden Trevor for this mess!!!!!! Why Why Why rely on a tour da france Gastown rookie to pick the direction of your franchise!????
  3. Ice! Jimbo has to protect Demko, and if he looses Markie thats fine. Here is my bottom line, Jimbo has made some horrendous decisions, horrible trades, signing foundation pieces like Sutter...what a joke, nobody was willing to step up and offer the contract Sutter got...good ol country bumpkin Jimbo did, when he signed the cavalcade of 4th liners to make this team hard to play against (I couldn't believe the contracts he was giving aways at that time) really didn't make one bit of difference in the standings. His done well with the draft picks, the JT Miller trade was worth every bit he paid out, bringing in Ian Clarke, and ofcourse Markie carrying this team on his back night after night, Yes, we did well in the bubble playoffs, but that's one of a lifetime, do you think this team makes the playoffs if we finished the season under normal circumstances, then goes on to have the success they did if they had to play in the normal NHL with fans? Ice, stop shaking your head ...lol... I am here having fun...and trying to make some points.....will see how the team does, they got my interest right now....but i have other sports that i love......But, you and all these diehard Canucks fan....will have to sweat it out the next season...but once those contracts come off the books look out...i think Jimbo has learned his lesson ....take it easy Iceman dont melt! hehe
  4. Iceman!! your right on on that, I did forget that one lol!
  5. Iceman cometh! It's simple Jimbo chose smidt over an MVP goaltender Markie!! See the results next year, Holtby not a good replacement...do Jimbos math...he paid 4.5 for Holtby...he could have paid 4.5 for tanev and 6 for markie...he chose Smidt and Holtby...I say Jimbos math is off!
  6. Biestra....Your bang on ...i blame Vanderlinden parents in Alberta/Holland for having Sex back in the earlly70s!! See the connection? From Trevs parents to failure in free agency by Jimbo the hick!!! Do the math!!
  7. No Iceman, you sir will watch what happens to this team next year, Tanev was a critical part of this D, you will see, that's why Calgary stepped up, everybody in the NHL knows about Tanevs fearlessness to absorb a hit to make a pass, to protect the puck, the smarts....heck he will step in on chara slap shot and attempt to block it...you will see. Your incredibly short sighted, Jimbo the hick is ...short sighted, Its Jimbos great ability to give gift contracts away. THe looser in all his Contract give aways, are the Aquilinis, who are in the wake of devastation hurricane Jimbo has caused. Iceman stop drinking the Jimbo Koolaid! Mark this post!
  8. Jimbo, What can I say, u draw the line in the sand now?! Haha comical. This whole issue was created by a rookie and I mean a total rookie with zero experience as a president Vanderlinden trevor! This error was further compounded by Aqualinis forced into hiring homeboy fan favourite Trevor because of fan dissatisfaction at ownership over 1 bad decision of hiring Torts and a terrible season....you see the pyramid. Zero experience Vanderlinden hires Benning and Williy....haha lol. Willy went off the rails pretty quickly, Jimbo did everything to derail a team which had finally garnered cap space, that lasted untill his first kick at the can free agency. I want bore you with all the free agent transactions but, what stood out and was so hard for me to accept, was to see a guy like Tanev who gave his heart and soul to the organization and was so underappreciated by the canuck organization it hurts my soul to think they drew the line on Tanev??????????????? You gave 5 years 30 million to Myers, you gave Ericsson 36 million, you gave 2, 4th liners Beagle and Roussel 3.25 million over 4 years, you gave Sutter a 4.25 million 5 year deal. You gave Tim Schaller 2 year 3.8 million...and you draw the line on one of your best defensemen, 4th best shot blocker in the league??!!!! Jimbos, greatest summer was replacing the Sedin 110 points and 12 mil in cap space with, Beagle, Roussell, Schaller, replace 2, 1st liners with 3, 4th liners. They fire an assistant manager who was the capologist... One closer look at Ericsson's stats and free agency offers in 2016, reveals there was no suitor for him, the Bruins were firm on their offer, in came Jimbo and Trev with buggy full of aqua cash...sign on the dotted line, its almost comical the demise of this organization was Trevor and his inexperience in making critical decisions at Gm/coach I'd even go as far as the worse pro scouts in the NHL. Next year we take 2 steps back and dont make the playoffs, the cap problems have rendered the team in neutral, naaaahh dont blame bumbling hick Jimbo ....... it's all about Trevor!!!
