Someone from JetsNation wrote a pretty decent piece on what he figured it would take to re-sign Copp. Using lots of comparable his conclusion was 4 years @ 3.5 per. I really like the player, good skater, one of their better defensive forwards, and pretty good numbers offensively. I’d do it at those numbers if we have the cap space. One small correction - he scored 4 against us! IDK if this link will work but it’s a good read on him if it does. jetsnation.ca/2021/04/08/call-the-copp-predicting-andrews

Two headlines further to your point...this first one is a story very much in the news locally. The second is widespread across Canada. I’ll only post the headlines since we are here in this thread. [Signing] Canucks sign Vasili Podkolzin

Yes it is but only slightly. I think he said he wasn’t against the hit but if you do make that hit then you better be prepared for what follows. I know I’m paraphrasing but I think that’s close. Don’t misunderstand, I’m not absolving Reaves of anything. I think he should be suspended for the knee on the head. I don’t think the commentators were saying you can’t make that hit either, at least no more than Juice was.

[Rumour] Seth Jones to test FA
4petesake replied to KariyaSakicAnderson's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I posted that in response to you asking someone to show you something that he had posted that was political. I place no importance to it. I will say again that the team cut ties with Mark Donnelly because his personal opinions didn’t align with that of the team. With that in mind I think that the Canucks would be wise to consider giving up a treasure trove of assets and an expensive long-term commitment and then being faced with the possibility of having to make the same sort of decisions all over again. Player’s personal opinions are just that until they make them public. When it effects the team it can become a problem. And for the record SJ has tweeted & retweeted lots of good community related stuff as well. -

It’s a little more than just that though. Don’t overlook the last part. -

Nope, not at all. So long as his views don’t overshadow the interests of the team. If he felt the need to advertise that he was anti-mask or an anti-vaxxer I’m sure the team would feel differently though.
