[Report] Jim Benning to return for next season

I’m confused though. Serious question, What should the team have done differently? Were some of us not rooting hard enough for them to lose? They won so I’m happy for the guys. Had they lost I would have been happy for the slightly better odds in the draft. I guess I just don’t see what changes if I’m po’ed about the win. What exactly are the tankers asking for? Dress a bunch of new guys and rookies. Check. Did Green put out Hoglander in the last OT? Nope, Highmore. Check. Played Edler for Lord knows, how many minutes the last two games and everyone says he’s finished. Seems like Green is giving the team every opportunity to lose but they are winning anyway. Sorry if I’m happy for them.

Just a reminder that BC is holding back all remaining AZ doses for those who need a second dose, unless this conversation was about choosing the option of mixing and matching.

Seven years without a clear plan from Canucks brass.

Brackett is a very good amateur scout, his specialty being the USHL. His contract was expiring and we have no idea whether he was asking for a raise but let’s suppose he was. He was also reported to be demanding more or complete control over amateur scouting. The team wasn’t willing to give him that and he moved on to Minnesota where I imagine he will do a good job. He had a large influence in drafting guys like Boesser, Gaudette, Tyler Madden and Lockwood. He also played a smaller part in drafting Rathbone. He had very little to do with European scouting. He will be missed but is not irreplaceable. He was most definitely not fired. He told the team what he wanted and the team said no. -
Honest Conversation With Those Who Still Support Management

Here’s your opportunity. This is an example of a reasonable, well-thought out and respectful response. You may disagree with some or all of it but this poster has taken the time and effort to respond to your thread so treat him/her with respect. -
Honest Conversation With Those Who Still Support Management

See this is your problem. You say you want to have an honest discussion with Benning’s supporters. You don’t. That implies that you want to consider respectfully what they say when in reality you only want to lecture them. “...need some reading glasses...or you’re just a little slow up top” isn’t a discussion, it’s just a smartass response. For the record I consider myself about a 70% supporter who recognizes his flaws and his skills. Yet if I find criticisms to be unfair or illogical and speak up I get called a fanboy, B’bro, nuthugger, etc. Hardly a constructive way to sway someone’s opinion.
