All this is quite true but remember some of us are just noodling about which defenceman gets exposed. In my opinion the team shows signs of hope right now so I don’t want Chatfield playing in place of someone else just to get his games in. If that changes by all means dress him. So my question remains, who do we want to expose?

Some seem to equate exposing Myers with “Myers hate.” (And I do know there is a fair bit of that on here.) Overall I like what he brings to the table but somebody has to be exposed. Now that the team seems to be playing better I don’t think forcing Chatfield into the lineup just to get him enough games is smart. Who are you going to sit? If there’s an injury or the team goes back into the crapper, fine dress him and get him his games and expose him. Lots is going to happen between now and the expansion draft, Chatfield could get injured and not qualify.

Possible choices : extend either Hamonic or Benn to an extra year, expose Myers, play Chatfield 27 more games, acquire another eligible d’man. As JYD says expose Myers & hope he doesn’t get picked up (if he does you have good money to replace him in a time of reduced contracts). Least appealing would be playing Chatfield (keep in mind if he’s injured that doesn’t work either.) You’ve got to expose someone so take your pick.

Looks like Disney may have got involved. Let’s hope it’s gone for good. Canadian social media accounts aimed at spreading anti-mask misinformation and conspiracy theories to kids through Disney princesses have gone dark following a media report Tuesday. In an email to HuffPost Canada, Ottawa-based cosplayer Mary-Jean Harris, the operator of the “Freedom Princess” Facebook and Instagram pages confirmed that the accounts will be taking a break for the “foreseeable future.” The move follows a Vice World News report on their links to both the anti-mask movement and Harris’s other business venture, Fairytale Princess Parties. The Freedom Princess pages featured photos and videos of Harris encouraging kids to disobey public health guidelines, while dressed up as popular Disney princess characters such as Snow White and Elsa from “Frozen.” “This is a place for children to interact with their favourite characters and learn about the government’s restrictions of our freedoms that threaten the prosperity of our lives in a fun way,” a welcome post on the Instagram page read.

If .dank has way this guy and his assistant will be flinging poo at faces on the draft board soon. I’m sure nothing but good times ahead! -
Players have every right (and obligation) to look after themselves and their families when negotiating contrasts. As fans we tend to get our knickers in a knot when they leave and that is fair enough too. After all as true fans we are tied to our teams and don’t get the luxury of changing teams. You don’t have to cheer for them when they play against you but if you loved and respected them here that shouldn’t change when they’re gone.

There is some truth to this but look at this past summer with covid and early border restrictions causing a shortage of immigrant pickers. Farmers were forced to raise wages and they still couldn’t get enough pickers and had crop left in fields. One of the arguments against raising the minimum wage in the US is that “I only make $15/hr at my job. Why should a burger flipper make the same as me?” You’ve already increased your leverage because you can quit any time and work at Arby’s. As soon as the lowest guy makes $15 it pushes everybody above him up a notch. The problem is not what those at the bottom are getting, it’s what those at the top are taking. Instead of fighting each other for scraps we should be fighting for a fair share for each of us.
