It’s weird watching Islander fans dunking all over Canuck fans for turning on Bo after his comments. The very fans that boo their former captain so lustfully after becoming a Leaf. Nice to see a little emotion and frank-speak from him but too bad he waited until he was gone, we could have used a little of that from him as a Canuck.

Can’t say that I fully understand the total commitment to either side tbh. Watching a win makes me happy. Getting a great draft pick also makes me happy. Since I can be happy or pi$$y about either, being happy seems like the logical choice. In addition my happiness has no effect on the outcome of the game so for the life of me I can’t figure why some would feel better if I was pi$$y.

Statistics are funny… Last 29 games - 6-7-1 against playoff teams 9-3-3 against non-playoff teams Not nearly as lopsided as you make it seem. I’d say 6-7-1 is not terrible, not good enough but still room for at least some optimism.

Yes I did say I would have sat him “out of an abundance of caution.” My reasons as I said before are to take the negative spotlight of him (whether he was worried re the Russian angle or for religious reasons by making it the team’s decision instead of his; keep pride night about inclusion rather than an individual; with the added bonus of making the tankies happy. Sitting him is not a punishment for his views but rather protecting him from backlash or his family back home. No fear of a lawsuit whatsoever. A team can scratch a player for any reason whatsoever or no reason at all. The NHLPA has zero say in a coach’s lineup. Kuzmenko, like everyone else is perfectly entitled to his viewpoint. Once you make your private views public the rest of the world is entitled to have an opinion about it.
