  1. I have to admit Tom you haven’t me busy chasing and reading your links but when I get there I don’t see what you claim. In a brief scan nowhere could I see that Covid was last of 10, matter of fact it looks like 1 or 2 everywhere but Quebec and the Atlantic provinces (unless I’m missing something.) The people examining the numbers suggest it is back to #1 for December because of Omicron.
  2. Here are the numbers for BC - Strongly/somewhat agree Strongly/somewhat disagree 1. 52% 48% 2. 48% 52% 3. 47% 53% 4. 41% 59% 5. 38% 62% 6. 36% 64% The only question that BC residents agree with is “unless ICUs are hit by a sudden surge it’s time to drop restrictions. These are from the poll cited by @TOMapleLaughs who says “Nor does dismissing polls in such fashion when they clearly indicate growing and well-expected and even planned-for public sentiment” yet clearly dismisses the Angus Reid poll because they tell a different story.
  3. The list of questions in the NP poll.
  4. According to Angus Reid you are incorrect. Just over 1/2 of Canadians wanted restrictions lifted prior to the Trucker’s convoy. There has been a notable shift as a result of the protests, and not the one you were hoping for. Down to only 1 in 3 now.
  5. Had this gif for months now. Thanks for giving me a chance to use it.
  6. And the delicious irony of each of those top 4 ending the night at -1! Mathews with the lazy back check after the rush and not picking anyone up on JT’s goal.
  7. Funny near the end when Bruce says “ we won the….(momentary pause to mentally delete the f’bomb)…hockey game.
  8. Lammiko - “He’s missing some teeth but the effort’s there nonetheless.”
  9. Their website says it’s the regulation NHL ice but it does look big doesn’t it?
  10. I don’t mind the criticism but can’t get behind singling him out after what we saw all over the ice in that first period. That was just embarrassing all the way around. He came into the game with a .918 save % and a goals against of 2.40 and as for some saying he shouldn’t have been playing because of his bonus… Very few coaches would not play a guy to keep him from reaching a bonus and if he did he would have a pretty poor rep around the league. Players remember that kind of bs when they sign contracts.
  11. I’m not sticking up for Halak, he was bad, but so were all the Canucks in that period. The fact that the Isles scored 3 in 30 tells you how crappy the team was in front of him. How do you let the other team just roll into the zone so easily like that, wave after wave? He just finished making a great save on a 2 on 0 breakaway right before the floodgates opened. Was Halak bad? Yep but he sure got hung out by a bunch of guys who were every bit as bad as he was. Hard for me to point a finger just at him.
  12. “It was the best of games, it was the worst of games” - Charles Dickens after attend a Canuck game.
