Provorov declines pre-game pride night skate
4petesake replied to Slegr's topic in General Hockey Discussion
Well I definitely wouldn’t be very popular on North Sentinel Island if I kept acting on religious or cultural norms that I grew up with while there. However having people challenge or debate my beliefs might be the least of my worries. -

Is anyone here saying that we should throw Provorov in a concentration camp and kill him? -

The Philadelphia Flyers celebrate “hockey is for everybody” night. Provorov says no it’s not, I don’t support that. Fine, he has the right to his beliefs and to give voice to that by not wearing the jersey. Just as others have the right to be critical of him for it. Why do so many of you support his voice but not the voice of those who speak out against his beliefs? Strange double standard. -
Seravalli said that JR & PA thought that Bruce’s practices were terrible and that prospects were regressing instead of progressing. I’m not suggesting JR was the right hire but if FA hired him to fix the organization then it’s probably a good idea to listen to him. Aside from that what I took from it was that Seravalli said he had the story on “crystal clear authority” so why does everything that happens or gets said internally wind up on front pages and podcasts? Who’s the Edward Snowden on the Canucks staff?

In keeping with the new elephant theme.

I agree. We had only been married a few months when we made the move and we knew a couple of people in Edm so that’s all the choice was really based on. Both cities have lots to offer with nice areas and green spaces around the river valleys but Calgary being so close to the mountains is very appealing…

Maybe but let’s not pretend that entering into an illegal 50/50 partnership with an active duty cop to set up a gambling & money laundering ring doesn’t say a lot about a person’s ethics and morals. He paid his dues so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he’s grown. I was never aware of his social media stuff so we’ll see how he conducts himself as a member of the organization as opposed to when he was in the media looking for clicks. Still open-minded and hopeful but I don’t have a good feeling about this.
