  1. But if we were to trade down via the islanders pick the value is greater on our end than what this 1st 2nd and 3rd is. Especially once you consider the value that could come from the other two pieces. A 26+ pick, a 55+ pick 78+ pick couldn't get you a 13-16 pick. As I referenced above the AZ SJ trade: 11 for 27 + 34 + 45. It's pretty easy to see we got more value initially but now it all comes down to if anything for anyone pans out
  2. All these other firsts being moved are late 20s while the Isles will be early to mid teens. AZ and SJ trade last year is a good example of a way we can look at the horvat deal and see what the extra value in a higher pick is: To AZ: 11th To SJ: 27th + 34th+ + 45th At the very least I think the value is fair in comparison
  3. I got baited by the fourth period saying the return didn't have those picks at first. I'll take the L here for jumping the gun and listening to always wrong Dave I think boesers value is a 2nd if we take a expiring contract back. If it's not I just keep him for now as he's going to have value once that term runs out
  4. Haha I mean sounds like the return says completely otherwise. I'd stop listening to Podcasters because a 25 yo guy on pace for 60+ points who also has 293 points in 373 career games is not worth less than a cap dump. Do I blame anyone for not wanting to pay for a softer, slower 1 way expensive winger mid season? Not at all lol
  5. Sure but this route they get a 25 yo top 6 RW who's on pace for over 60 points this year in exchange for two expiring contracts. Remember desperate GMs go crazy around this time and don't do the logical thing
  6. No no he's a perfect candidate for us to retain half his contract and flip him as he's old and on the final year of his deal
  7. Mmmm. Combined cap hit is 6.6m Boeser is 6.65m mill. Both those guys are on expiring deals. Throw in a pick and we take that.... turn around to Boston and flip orlov 50% Retained AND schenn for that money package
  8. He tried to get his own NTC by setting up their due date for the TDL Love schenner. I hope what you guys suggest is true
  9. Wild. If the TDL major moves are two bottom feeders in CLB and STL doing Benning style retools via JC and TM...I mean... I guess that's good news for us. We got 95% of a roster for sale
  10. Serious injury concerns is a lie. 49gp vs 57 this year lol. I hope we never sign a winger to longer than 2 years ever again because we are the only team in the league who has to pay assets to remove them
  11. Agree meier is much more valuable, Main reason though is because you have alot of options being a pending RFA. Hopefully people understand the complaint isn't why doesn't boeser have massive positive value like him... it's why are we being told we need to retain 50% and take a useless Dickinson like contract back just to move Brock. He's not that bad. Compare him to most teams top 6s... buddy produces a fair rate lol
  12. He's not fast but it's funny hes only produced 23 less points in 78 less games than this alleged superstar winger because he can skate 5km/h faster and because of that we have to pay assets and retain lots to move him hey....lmao. Let's not act like he's the first person ever with skating concerns who can make up for it production wise to be moved. This is 100% the case of our negative marker driving value waay down. I'm OK with him being a neutral value player because of that 6.65 x 2 remaining after this year.. But I don't agree we should be retaining money and not getting assets back in return at all
  13. Timo meier: 26 yo winger. 451 gp - 154g - 316 points. Value: somehow 1st + blue chipper + young roster player + maybe even more Brock boeser: 25yo winger 373 gp - 131g - 293 points. Value: pure negative, Must retain half the contract to move and many believe we shouldn't get a return either while taking on a capdump as well Gotta love a massive negative value driving market we somehow have. Makes zero sense honestly
  14. I hate Boston. All this delay is because of them 100%. Everyone's waiting on them to move money for days now lol
  15. 47/50 contracts. We will sign McDonough + livingstone and one more ncaa guy. Maybe the hold up is we don't want to take back a contract and everyone is insisting on it. Maybe remaining 49/50 incase they are looking at another unsigned guy. ... Realistically none of those signing happen though and we get a 4th from schenn + he doesn't sign back in the summer
  16. And we get Stillman on a 1.4 x 2 as the cherry on top... Will go down as one of the most dog deals once that 2nd is a early 40s next season lol
