Demko has played most the games and has a 2.63 / .918 Halak has played a handful and has a 3.01 / .899 Rangers backup is 2.91 / .898 Hell binnington has a 3.14 / .903 and hes paid more than demko ( NTC / NMC as well. Seriously signed the loui 6x6 and turned to dust hahah ) Its not that big of a change though. We are a team who has atleast two AHL/ 7th D playing full time all year lol. With all things considered halak deserves a little confidence as long as you expect 2 goals against atleast. Lucky for us we keep scoring over 5 a game as guys need to add to the new contract value before the seasons over

Really though whats the deal with zero confidence in halak? Goals against per game: 1-6 times 2-3 times ------ Lets keep in mind this range 3-4 times ------ ALL goalies are in ( maybe other than the rangers kid lol ) 4-1 time 5-1 time 6--1 time And no, It's not " Well most of high GA are from starts and 1-2 GA are coming in for demko " Not to mention if you look at the game logs between the both of them, They have roughly the same pattern. Both have a game where they let in 4 or more, Then go on a 4/5 game run with 1/2/3 against. I have zero problem with halak as long as you don't expect a shutout when he plays

Agree. When it comes to goalies, I always expect when the backup plays.. Automatic 2 goals against. These are guys who sit and watch and 1/4 of the year, Then are expected to perform against mid season form superstars at a flawless rate lol. We have averaged over 5g a goal for our 6 game streak. This is the perfect time to have some confidence in one of the vital team members

Canucks fans be like : It's bs LA gets easy teams like the ducks LA fans be like : It's bs nucks get easy teams like the sens But in reality we are all like : This is going to be the classic 3rd stringer vezina caliber and 5+ posts kind of night isnt it... For real though, Very proud of this team. We have alot of guys with solid character that's for sure. It's April 19th and we are still in the playoff hunt. I could not imagine having to go to work everyday and deal with green and co trying to ruin your career. ( atleast not helping you progress in any way ) Add in our toxic media and bad apple fans... Plus years of covid... Especially for a younger team who's families are mostly in other countries.. Must have been such a mentally draining period. The fact these guys were all able to come together at once and go on this run since bruce & co got here in unreal. I will be soooooo stoked if they get in. They friggin deserve it. BUT i won't mad even the slightest if it doesn't work out. It's the minni game that worries me tbh. They are going to injure more of our team... They added alot of toughness this year to go along with the fair amount they already had

For awhile now i figured we would miss by 3 points.. But the way LA has slowly started to trip up, We could be only 2 points back if we win both games in hand. We play once as well. This is getting pretty wild considering our 2 month struggle and endless clear as day issues. I'm not stoked about the upcoming minni game. That's waay too big of a team for us at this time of year. Will probably mop the floor with us again causing more injuries...

[Signing] Canucks re-sign Spencer Martin

Good for him. Honestly looked like a NHL vet in net. Very poised, Not flopping around chasing the play. 5.75m gets you demko and a backup? oof -

UFA at the end of next year. For a team really looking to go ufa shopping and load up.. Imagine signing huberdeau & miller. Watch out for seattle? lol -
Now that we don't need to worry about the playoffs, It's time to start seeing some younger guys in prime rolls to see how they handle it. Bones in the pressbox and hunt on the PP doesn't help us now nor the future. After a decade of doing the same meaningless thing over and over again... Let's switch things up so we can finally see some progression. OK start, Got a little bit of cap space and moved on from a injury prone 4th liner turning UFA. Previous management would have signed him to a 4 year deal with nmc. I hope we opt for a re tool. I wouldn't invest anything into adding to this current build. There is no on ice chemistry. The near historical worst PK while having one of the top goalies is soooooooooooooo pathetic. Not to mention how little pushback we have when playing anyone with a tough guy... That minni game not too long ago was a total embarrassment. I don't want to be built like the ducks or devils. Bunch of skinny skilled kids who get injured all the time. Hope for change starts this off season!!
