How much longer till habs fans realize the cup run was a total fluke and their team is crap? -
All the complainers thinking we need to go 82-0 are coming back eh. Islanders are real cup contenders, Been destroyed in their games, Tampa can't play D right now, Vegas got blown out 6-2 vs LA and lost paches + stone... BUFFALO is undefeated... chit happens nobody likes lol Its hockey, Luck is a huge part of it and we had literally zero tonight. Sucks but we ain't the only ones. Honestly pretty good 5v5, Defensively held them to nothing really, But man our special teams will be the death of us. I just don't understand why we play the way we do on the PP when we see game after game, year after year other teams moving their feet and fast passes... Oh well maybe adjustments will be made soon

Lol, Not one of these guy has came into the league and instantly showed very good - star status. Ignoring alot of points i made doesn't help your case, Its called cherry picking. I said they should and very well could become very good players. But i don't agree with many people out there claiming they have one of, If not the best prospect pool in the league. Not a single guy has shown anything that makes you say wooow at the NHL level just yet. On top of that over half those guys are in the final year of ELC. Look at how many other teams are hitting home runs, Including us. Don't see that with the kings yet. It's all hypothetical imo -

Leafs have signed university of toronto goalie to a 1 day contract due to cap issues. Watch campbell get ran. How dubas has a job is insane... The roster has no depth at all -

Now lets hope Cowgary tries to show the only talent they have... Goonsquad... Tonight against the oilers and maybe add to that list Sounds like patches is also out for atleast 6 weeks. Oh that vegas freefall is underway!! -

Don't get me wrong alot of these kids can and probably will pan out, But they have yet to have a single guy jump in and be a star. We had 3 straight calder kids. 1 winning and 2 very close 2nds... Thats effing godly drafting. Canes are another team that have some real good hits when it comes to drafting, Actually drafted proven superstars I just love when other teams kids get over hyped before doing anything in the league. Wait and see approach for me -
Do people really wake up, And think they know whats best for a player who they only see over the course of a game? Vs the franchise that has 3.5 billion dollars of resources, Physically with the kid every single day, And has access to film and opinions from countless amounts of people who have been around hockey for 30+ years? Well call me crazy but i think ill side with the team decisions on this one

lol. Tkachav is 26, Byfield has shown nothing that screams star, And everyone else not named bjornfot is in their final year of elc. IF these kids show a glimmer of hope, Well the kings are screwed as 8 of these elc's all are coming off the books this offseason. They are at the cap limit as it is, Might have just enough money coming off the books to bridge all of them but better hope nobody earns big money Better hope turcotte shows something, Sooner or later AK and DD will start to slow down but zero star dmen to replace drew. Meanwhile we have had countless ELC's step in game 1 and look like a star. Nice try though just quickly skimming cap friendly -
Now we can slowly start to compare the two rebuild styles. Rangers and us. We literally went bare bones on the roster AND prospect pool, couple bad luck misses with high picks followed by HUGE wins in the prized #1c and 1D, Along with the 1G. We also complimented them with some reaaaally good late first / early 2nd rounders. And topped if off trading out garbage / picks for a bunch of proven NHLer's who can and will complement this group very well. Now the rangers decided to do a full teardown pretty much after a scuffed playoff run. Meaning they had ALOT of value on the roster to trade that could really speed up the rebuild. Ended up trading for their #1 in fox, Got gifted a first and second overall, Started signing big name free agents, Rushed the prospects, And claimed the rebuild is over after 2 years. They now have 4 guys between 6.5 - 11.6 for who are all 28+ still on these deals for another 5 to 8 years, setting the tone for a 10m dollar deal for fox next year, And the following year they will have to find money to pay laff and kakko, Assuming they actually play to their potential. No contracts end when they need this money. Yes they have 7m cap space now but thats gone + some with fox alone. Jb is one smart mother trucker compared to alot of these other rebuilding teams. When our guys need to get paid, We have enough money off the books each year. Look at every single team on cap friendly, We are in a KILLER position compared to most the league. Assuming we stay on a positive progression path that is. No way you can look at this team, What we went through, What we have on paper today, And complain if you compare it to anyone else in a similar situation. We still have alot to prove, But patience is a virtue, And my god the foundation we have has the potential to be something special. Nobody should expect a cup if we make the playoffs. This isnt the bubble, This is a 82 game grind. Step 1, Make it to the show. Step 2, Find out what we need to address ( probably need a hard to play against line such as tampas 3rd line the last 2 year ). Step 3, Cups runnnnsss. I'm glad i'm here for this journey, Excited to see where it goes. I mean worst case scenario was have a tonnnnn of trade value on the roster if things need revamping in any way.
