  1. Posted this in the draft thread but was quickly buried. My brief note on Lockhart from 2019 U17s, after the first Canada Red game I watched. "The one guy I really liked from Canada Red was Connor Lockhart. That's right, the 90s teen sitcom star. For real though, he's got moves and was one of the few players on that weak Red team who ever had the gall to hold on to the puck and try to make something happen. They play like Switzerland circa 2010. "
  2. This. Gradin is all over the place doing crossover. His job is just to double check what he hears from the area scouts.

  4. Little bit disappointing. But OEL + Garland are far more exciting additions than any pick would have been. Well, I would have been pretty stoked for Sillinger but he wasn't a guy Benning would likely have been after anyway. All the really big ticket items were gone by 9. I had Guenther ranked 11th - real solid prospect but not someone I would have been too excited about.
  5. Can't help but lol at all the folks who still thought Raty was a high pick. Gotta be honest, I thought he would still find his way into the end of the first round.
  6. Lol might have been from me? But yeah absolutely stacked with RHD like you've never seen. Luneau, Nemec, Salomonsson are all RHD and all look like top ten picks. Then there's Seamus Casey, Ryan Chesley, David Jiricek are all likely first round options, and then Vinny Borgesi, Michael Mastrodomenico and Kasper Kulonummi could be sleepers so far.
  7. Amen dude. Such a stacked draft there will be good players to be found late in the first.
  8. Looks like one of the better classes in recent decades so far. I'm just gonna mention some top players to watch for in each region. Starting with the North Americans. Feel free to add or beat me to the punch on players. Canada Shane Wright C OHL Kingston Sturdy power center a la Tavares, Matthews. Can shoot and score from anywhere. Elite playmaker. Probably 1st overall. Matthew Savoie C WHL Winnipeg Highly skilled with elite foot and hand speed. Inconsistent and overconfident with the puck, but some of the highest upside in the class. Probably top
  9. Wait... do you honestly believe a 725 million dollar organization doesn't have a plan? Nothing written down on a napkin somewhere maybe?
  10. Well I guess this is my final list. Haven't seen enough of most of the late first rounders, so I'll just stick to the first half: 1. William Eklund 2. Owen Power 3. Brandt Clarke 4. Matt Beniers 5. Cole Sillinger 6. Kent Johnson 7. Fyodor Svechkov 8. Luke Hughes 9. Chaz Lucius 10. Mason McTavish 11. Dylan Guenther 12. Jesper Wallstedt 13. Simon Edvinsson 14. Brennan Othmann 15. Matt Coronato 16. Fabian Lysell
  11. Lol, love how Benning is so focused on BPA he didn't understand the reporter's question about Brandt Clarke. Guy mentioned already having Hughes and Rathbone, and Benning was like "we'll take the player if he's the best player available, regardless if we already have some guys in that position." He thought the question was in regards to already having offensive defensemen, not the lack of RHD.
  12. Yeah I had him going in the first half to Calgary. Guess before I finalize my mock I should try to listen to comments from most of the GMs/head scouts.
  13. Oh Christ. Just saw on TSN Holland said they probably won't take a forward.
  14. I posted the first half of my final mock draft a couple days ago. Here's part two: 17. Winnipeg - Matt Coronato - I kinda doubt he'll actually fall this far, but I didn't really see a good fit in the previous few picks. Ottawa or Vancouver would make a lot of sense but that seems slightly early for him. 18. Nashville - Brennan Othmann - Lambos or Ceulemans would also make a lot of sense here, but can't see Othmann falling much further. 19. Edmonton - Corson Ceulemans - They like Western Canada and particularly the AJHL lately. 20. Boston - Tyler Boucher -
