  1. At some point during every PK the penalty killers compress into an area about the size of the average bathroom.
  2. I think some places have already put their clocks back an hour, which is showing up some weird times
  3. Can't keep up with all the different ribbons. What's the significance of the turquoise coloured ones that the HNIC presenters are wearing?
  4. You can mix up the lines all you want, but if they're all playing the same bad system the result will be the same.
  5. I was looking at the shooting percentages earlier. EP is at 4.8% Yikes, that's Stecher quality shooting.
  6. Let me get this straight. Is the goal that thing at the end of the ice with a bright red red frame and some netting? I'm just asking because a lot of the players seem to be shooting the puck somewhere else.
  7. Flyers having their way with us at the moment. Hoping we can keep it 2-1 until the intermission and come out better in the second
  8. This from the Flyers website: "On Wednesday, Carter Hart shook off a questionable save-selection play on Edmonton's first goal to settle in to play brilliantly in making 34 saves. The game entered the third period tied at 3-3 largely due to Hart holding the fort while under siege in the middle frame."
  9. Halak has a good record against the Flyers and he's a safe pair of hands. I just hope the D don't hang him out to dry.
  10. This will be a really tough game for us tonight. We caught the Flyers on a bad day last time and Hart was not very good in goal. Since then they've beaten up the Kraken 6-1, Boston 6-3, and put an end to the Oilers' win streak, so we need to be on the top of our game. Anything less than a full 60 minute effort is not good enough. GCG
  11. And you can always find a free stream if you want to watch a game. No need for SN.
  12. I thought the whole evening was a downer yesterday, starting with the opening ceremony. Acknowledging first nations' land claims and fighting the pandemic with vaccines and masks may be pressing social issues but they have no place at a hockey game, where people go to be entertained and to escape their everyday lives. Why not have a video about homelessness and deaths from drug overdoses as well, then the crowd can be really depressed. The muted cheers from the crowd seemed to get to the players, who put in a lacklustre performance. Where was the energy that we all expected and hoped for on opening night, with fans in the building for the first time in ages? All in all a very forgettable event.
