  1. If we get through this period without giving up a goal it will be a miracle
  2. That was 7 shots without reply for the Sabres. Green needs to yell at them.
  3. That PP could hardly have been any worse. Pearson probably our best player at the moment
  4. Obviously the Buffalo crowd are excited to see the Canucks, I can see several people in Row 22. Come on ' Nucks ruin Anderson's GAA
  5. Let's not forget that the Lightning scored 3 in the last 6 minutes. Let's hope for a meltdown
  6. That's because he was such a great goalie. Never made any mistakes and got a shutout every night
  7. Maybe it's an espresso so that he's not busting for a pee when he starts the game
  8. They should be able to roll over both Red Wings and Sabres, but one of our previous failings was to not go for the jugular against lesser teams, they seemed to reserve all their best efforts for better teams. I will be hoping that this version of the Canucks will give it 100% against every team they play, regardless of any perception about whether they will be easy or hard to beat.
  9. Agreed, but he came out with one priceless quote: " I love Phil Kessel, he's everything a modern day athlete isn't"
  10. 3 points out of 4 is a decent start. Hopefully the Red Wings confidence will be shot to pieces after snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against the Lightning, and Larkin is suspended a game which will help us. I thought the Flyers players got some pretty $&!#ty treatment from the fans booing them in the 3rd period, and also in overtime, that's pretty classless in the first game of the season..
  11. The shootout is a lottery so I'm not disheartened to lose that. Credit to the team for hanging in there and tieing the game up late. All in all a really solid first game, good effort, lots of skill. Can't wait for Brock to get back to give us a bit more fire power up front.
  12. Schmidt was an elite D with Vegas but when he came here he stunk. Maybe he though he was coming to team that had a defensive structure, but we don't. Now he's with the Jets I fully expect him to go back to being an elite player.
  13. Would have liked to see Schenn out there, at least we would have one person on the team dishing out some hits. I don't think the bottom pairing will be seeing many minutes either way. My to do list: 1. Score first. 2. Play hard for 60 minutes 3. Keep out of the penalty box. 4. Try not to be so predictable on the power play 5. WIN That's not asking too much is it?
